Very good recruiter while at VT - from what I remember, he was responsible for bringing in guys like Erick Green, Dorian Finney-Smith and Trevor Thompson. Some didn't stick around, for reasons not really attributed to him (DFS left to be closer to home, Thompson transferred after Buzz was hired).

He was a terrible head coach though and was in way over his head, and his win-loss record shows it.
