It's a win for the Dems.
well, yeah... kind of... the problem is that millions will choose to pay the penalty which in turn screws everybody else and rates will continue to go up.

It is a stalemate for now. And that is actually the best outcome.

Big Losers:
- Paul Ryan
- Trump
- Democrats (they still own ObamaCare which is still imploding)

Somewhat winners:
- Tuesday Group
- Freedom/Liberty Caucus + Outside groups (GOA, Heritage Action, etc etc)

Yes it is.

We all have a right to life. Can't have that without healthcare.

That's what the founders meant, anyway. You interpreting it otherwise, is a false interpretation.

Right to life.

Hunh. Where have I heard that before?

bottom line here, we all lose. zerOcare is imploding, wrecking State budgets even in semi-socialist states like Minnesota, and this is 100% in the dims corner.

They conceived this schit-sandwich, they rammed it through with NO input from across the aisle and now they offered not a single vote in favor of at least fixing some of the problems or getting the ball rolling on some reforms.

We'll see where the end game is, but in the meantime I guess we can all watch as this spectacular flame out takes place. It'll be great when insurance companies pull out of certain states altogether.

Womp womp.

Full repeal passed effortlessly in 2015. Even just full repeal is better by leaps and bounds than ObamaCare and RyanCare.

60 votes in the Senate. Wouldn't happen. Definitely won't happen after 2018.

Being directly blamed by Trump for this bills collapse is a somewhat win?

I wonder if the freedom caucus losing their next primaries will be considered a full on win?

- Eight years. Should have been enough time to think of something.
- Complete majority in DC. Should have been an ideal time to pass that eight years in the making bill.

Your cohort might be able to collective decide down is up, on this board. But you won't convince real people out in the real world of that.

And some of your cohort can actually read the writing on the wall. bullet, SK, among others. There won't be any new attempt. And this will cost some current repubs their seats.

They might be replaced with other repubs, but at a minimum, that's a loss for you message board warriors as it will at least be a more establishment pick if anything.

For those who lack the clarity of how bad the GOP effed up today and how screwed we are, I offer the following:

Today was a victory for all Americans- Hillary Clinton

You know this ain't gonna fly with real people.

If that's all you got ... well ... that's about as bad as having eight years to come up with a replacement to ACA, and then failing to come up with something.

Vox - This is what happens when maternity care isn’t an “essential” health benefit

I get that your single now...but what happens if you get married in a year or so and have kids and your wife is on your new Trump plan without maternity coverage????

You and your wife take responsibility for yourselves, and purchase a plan that includes it. Just because it isn't mandated, doesn't mean it no longer exists. How did women ever manage to receive maternity care before 2010?

You know your argument is dumb, so I don't understand why you continue to make it.

Geezus, it's called a rider. Why is this hard for some to figure out? We had maternity coverage when we were spitting out puppies age, I think it was an additional 45 bucks a month, or something to that effect. Now? We have the pleasure of paying thousands additional every year to cover all the folks too dumb or irresponsible to cover their own asses.

You buy a boat? You pay for another policy. Your neighbor doesn't buy a boat? Why's he subsidizing mine?

Mental laziness. This really isn't that hard.

*EDIT* Not directed at you Kronke, comes off that way a bit, I guess. Just took your post as a jumping off point. 07-coffee3

It never stood and doesn't stand now.

Just because you refuse to own it on here doesn't matter in the real world. In the real world, you will own it.

Yup.

They really can't simply sit idly by and watch this train run off the cliff. There's no need to pick an arbitrary date on a calendar, but they had better have something more to show than simply "we didn't want that".
