I have no disagreement with the subject of the left's issues, but to say that that was the reason you voted for Trump I have to question that decision.

Trump ran as a totalitarian. Under HIS leadership these big things are going to be done, everyone is going to love him for it. HE's going to make the deals. HE's going to repeal the ACA. HE's going to drain the swamp. HE's going to #MAGA.

I don't think a vote for Trump was exactly a vote for American procedure and liberty. It was more like another BIG step away from either of those things.

And everything he is doing, he is doing under the law. Its all you buying DNC propaganda. The only thing he ever said that was the least bit totalitarian was when he commented about torture. And he quickly dropped that.

Who shut down opposition political rallies?
Who paid people to incite violence at opposition rallies?
Who talked about busing people around to vote illegally?
Who firebombed opposition party HQs?
Who threw bricks threw the windows of opposition party offices?
Who blackballed a Silicon Valley entrepreneur for endorsing an opposition candidate?
Who cheated in primary debates with the collusion of the head of their party and the networks? (CNN)
Who coordinated questions of the opposition? (NBC questioning Jeb)
Who had people pretending to be impartial arbitrators bragging about getting the other side? (MSNBC)
Who had people pretending to be impartial arbitrators arguing with the other candidate and telling lies that they claimed were the truth (ABC)
Who had major newspapers devoting dozens of staffers to find dirt on the opposition and change their way of doing business in order to try to beat a candidate? (NYT)
Which side threatened action for people simply chalking the name of a candidate and 2016? (Emory University)
Which side has shut down, often violently opposition speech (Middlebury is merely the latest example)
Which side refused to turn over data to the FBI?
Which side illegally unmasked American citizens in surveillance?
Which side illegally sent surveillance data to the media?
Which side used the IRS for political purposes?
Who did executive orders in clear violation of the law and the intent of Congress?
Who tried to commit to treaties without submitting them to Congress?
Who tried to appoint people in violation of the recess rules and got shot down by the Supreme Court?
Which side refused to do what was ordered by the Democratically elected president?
Which side has had previously respectable media organizations constantly pump out fake news about Russia (CNN, NBC, ABC, CBS, NYT, WaPo)?
Which side has had teachers fired for merely supporting political positions such as "build a wall?" (I know of at least two in my school district).
Which side has had eating establishments refuse to serve people supporting an opposition political candidate?

As a Jewish friend of mine described it, the Democrats have done a lot of brown shirt activities.

None of that takes away from the notion that Trump ran as a totalitarian.

See. You're admitting right there that you're,I won't say dumb because I can't, but you know what I mean. HE DOESN'T HAVE TO. That big dummy Nixon started a precedent when he divulged his records but there is NO LAW that states that he has to. I wouldn't, just to piss off the Demons and Trump is doing just that. They have nothing on him or else the IRS would be on his tail and we already know about the IRS, don't we? Huh, don't we? Deny it, please so that you will seem more, ahem, uninformed.

Here's the funny/sad thing: the reason democracy is failing, not just here but in other places, is because it's "too easy" for people to get their opinions out.

Too many simple minds can become completely swept up in a complete farce. All you have to do is click on one. They're everywhere.

Like in the Netherlands for example. Completely rational, intelligent, and otherwise good people, have gotten swept up in the anti-Muslim farce. You listen to them talk about it, like it's as cut-and-dried as harvesting potatoes. It's unreal.

One of the reasons every companies website has a link to their "Diversity" plan.
I guess it is better If my name was Michael Gonzalez and not Michael Schmidt.
A lot of Universities Diversity thingy is straight up we are going to try not to hire White Males. They call it non traditional people.

Goal III: The University of Cincinnati will recruit, retain and
promote historically underrepresented staff for professional,
mid-level and senior leadership positions.
Objective A: UC will increase the number of African Americans
and the number of people of color in professional and
mid-level management positions which include first level supervisor
and director positions in the university consistent with
targets identified in the UC’s Affirmative Action Plan

The policy comes at a university with a stated goal of hiring more “historically underrepresented” employees, a benchmark spelled out in its “UC Affirmative Action Plan” that calls for more African American, women, and other “traditionally unrepresented” employees campuswide.

“As of July 1, the University of Cincinnati will request a Diversity and Inclusion statement of all applicants for faculty and staff positions,” the university recently announced. “Faculty and administrative/professional applicants will be asked to submit a personal statement summarizing his or her contributions (or potential contributions) to diversity, inclusion and leadership.”

That's the scariest ******* thing you've said. It just shows how misguided you are and illustrates that you, along with a good portion of the left, are hopelessly lost.

Free thought is the enemy in your world. Dissemination of ideas, the freedom to speak freely without threat or reprisal. How you must hate the internet.

Opinions aren't the reason behind a democracy's difficulties. Lack of personal responsibility, education, and a desire to better one-self beyond ability of the state are all more valid reasons for a democracy's failings.

So, opinions aren't the reason ... then you state your personal opinions as the reason.

Got it.

That's right, my opinions don't have any more impact than yours do. I would wager the reasons I listed in my opinion can be supported with empirical evidence though.

Nobody else is arguing against that.

I didn't say the Democrats weren't totalitarian. I just said that Trump spent his entire campaign talking about his immense leadership and negotiation skills and that he'd use them to get his voters everything they want and that the people would LOVE him for it. HE was going to take down the establishment. HE was going to correct healthcare. HE was going to bring jobs back. It would be huge and even black people would LOVE him for it.

Nobody else is arguing against that.

In other words his leadership and negotiating skills would carry the day. That is not totalitarianism. That's Reaganism.

Exactly

It never ceases to amaze me how some of the most ignorant people you can meet possess a degree.

If you're going to take a shot at me, do it over pm.

Don't get offended that you don't know the difference between a leader and a dictator.

Not leader. The word you were looking for is tyrant.

A leader? Well he's wanted to be one for a long time. He led the USFL to a $1 check at death. He led Trump University into paying $25 million at death. Led Trump Airlines to non-existence. Those resorts. Tahj Mahal and all those. He's more of the, I have money and a name guy than a leader. You think a leader like Reagan would be going at civilians on Twitter and publicly boasting how he's kept a QB out of the NFL because the owners were afraid of what he'd say?

I actually still have a little faith in this presidency, but he's going to need help from the media. They have to have a goal of making this a good presidency.

What's offended me was that you made a personal insult toward me without even addressing what I said or trying to debate and I've never done the same to you and I won't.

Evidently not since a statist like you opposes him.
