10 Most Dominant JMU Athletes in Scholarshp Sports?
Can't think of anyone better than Megan Good.

Other than Archery - who are the greatest athletes in JMU History?

Let's see if we can come up with a top 10. Kinda hard....

I can think of 2 more women I think are locks, and one male I feel comfortable with top 10 status.

Any sport but archery.

And to clarify I mean nationally dominating. Not just CAA/1AA

Hmmm - I would say fellow softball player Jailyn Ford would also fit that classification.

Was trying to think a little outside of the box, so how about C. J. Sapong?

Agree and Tamera Young drafted in the first round of the WNBA - I think around 6th?????

Would think one of the Ladies Lacrosse players may fit that description since they one time won the NC.

RE: 10 Most Dominant JMU Athletes in Scholarshp Sports?
I think we had another really, really good soccer player about 20 years ago when we played at #1 UVA coached by Bruce Arena.

Have no idea what his name was. I think it was the only road JMU soccer game I've ever been too. Now that I think about it, it is probably on the only JMU soccer game I've gone to at all.

How about the baseball player who lead the nation in HRs about 5-10 years ago?

Didn't we have a pitcher go in the 2nd round of baseball recently?

For baseball Peanut Bundy. I think he played in the big leagues then later had a long coaching career.

Stielper is a good one Bobby but I believe Townes is the only JMU mens bball player to ever see the court in the NBA.

Sapong most recently made it to the MLS. Let's not forget Mark Carnevale for golf. Won a PGA tour event and was named rookie of the year. I thinkt was '89 or late 80s sometime.

He obviously doesn't make this list, but Kennard Winchester played in the NBA for a few years. Just sayin.

Bryan Schor's book is unfinished. National Player of the Year and a national title at the most important position on the field as a junior. Here's hoping he repeats both come January 2018. Just sayin'.

(btw, Megan Good is the definition of the word "dominant")

Peanut Bundy never made it to the big leagues. He parlayed a minor leagu career into multiple coaching gigs (minor and major leagues). Peanut was never lost for words and his gift of gab has translated well for him.

Dan Ruland??? I know he was drafted by the sixers and played professional somewhere, but I don't think he ever saw the court in the association.

Watched Stielper, Ruland, & Townes play while @ JMU. All HOF players & have their merits. To me, Stielper was the best.
