Question Owls vs. Aggies - 3/21
I was told that both teams will start their "closers" Tuesday night at Blue Bell.

Corbin Martin for the Aggies and Glen Otto for the Owls. Not sure how many strikes will be thrown, but there will be some heat in both halves of the innings.

At least maybe we'll make it competitive. This year has been a joke so far.

Also assuming Otto's arm/shoulder is now fully healthy, he could really use the innings of work. We've had too few leads for him to try to close, and he's has too few innings to round into normal form after not throwing most of the offseason following USA baseball squad.

I would really like to see us come out hot this game. I am sure the players are tired of losing and want to get back to playing some Rice caliber baseball.

Beautiful night for baseball.

The Aggies post pitch count on their scoreboard. I wish the Owls would do that with their new board.

Glen hits 97 mph on K to end B3.

Aggie starter departs after 3 innings and nearly 70 pitches. Lefty Doxakis is greeted with a single off the SS's glove by Brad.

Owls have action in the pen. RHer but I can't see the number.

Tristan follows with ground rule double to LF corner. Runners at 2nd and 3rd. No outs.

Owls manage 1 run in T4 after loading the bases with no outs on Sac Fly. Good throw would have had him. 3-1 Owls going to B4.

2 walks to lead off B4 leads to pitching change. Glen leaves after 50 pitches.

Addison in.

3-2 Owls going to B5. Ags scored 1 in B4 after Ryan dropped a fly in RC after a long run. Scored a hit. Someone's mom keeping score tonight.

Aggies tie it up on 3 consecutive singles. 2 on 1 out. Looks like Kravetz coming in.

As has been the case this year, the Owls bullpen throws batting practice. 6-3 Ags going to T6.

Very efficient 7-pitch 1-2-3 (5-3, K, 6-3) T6 for the Owls. Grrr.

5-3, actually. But it did seem like it should have been more. Grrr.

Yes. Aggie scoreboard has been all over the place. Had it at 7-3 at one point in that inning.

Aggies makes a great catch slamming into the wall to open the T7 off a Darryn drive to LC.

Just a matter of time, unfortunately.

Nice 8-5 outfield assist by Chandler, however.
