I was really hopeful for Maddie because he threw the ball extremely well on the run last year and that's a huge weapon when plays will break down against higher level competition. Hopefully Santa can develop that as well. The run/pass options would be a great addition to our offense.

Anybody go to Saturday's practice? What's the latest?

Stats too small? Ok... but you should beleive your eyes, Santa has no arm and lacks a feel for the passing game. When in doubt play the best Passer and keep him healthy.

He was told last year to move to D cause he had better chance to play. Jyst told to move back cause he has better chance to play on OL ? No injuries on OL that i know of

Does Veloz' move back to OL mean that the DL is getting better or nothing to read into the move re DL?

Hoping those JCs showed enough to have him move back. Did notice his weight drop from 315 to 296 on the updated roster. Had high hopes 4 him as a recruit.

Spring football is the time when the team's foundation for the new season is established; positions are earned, new schemes introduced, etc. It is also an ideal time to market the product and generate excitement; a critical part of program building. I really hope we are doing a great deal of foundation building because it does not appear that we are doing anything to promote the program. Very little updates, interviews etc. Seems unusually quiet this season.

What's the report on how he looks physically? He's 6' and 230lbs! Lynch was thick and was 215 at 6'. Huff looks like the muscle hamster at 5'11", 224. Is Childers muscled up? Soft? Or just built like a block? I guess if you need a QB to take a dozen hard hits a game, here's your guy.

Interesting article about Jimbo Fisher letting his QBs go live in scrimmages. It's a risk but on the other hand it's really hard (for me anyway) to evaluate dual threat QBs when they can't be touched in practice. The pocket guys always look better because they're playing their whole game while the dual threat guys are only playing half of theirs. I remember a couple of years ago when McIntosh, Hare and Maddie were competing to succeed Lynch and all three of them looked brutal in practice. None of them were exactly pinpoint passers.

He fumbled the ball attempting to handoff on a jet sweep and Josh recovered it. Childers takled him and when he got up Josh cracked him and a fight broke out. Dont read that much into it lol
