He's no better than the gay couple who walks into the Christian Bakery and does the same thing. It's all about the 15 minutes of fame.

You are probably correct.

No, he's probably FOS.

Notorious liberal bar?

He's publicizing it. So far, not suing.
You know how you can tell it's a lib bar? You ask for a Budweiser and they attack you for drinking gluten.

If they don't have PBR or Busch then it's a lib bar.

Hipsters revived PBR supposedly.

If you ask for a bourbon on the rocks and they ask you what flavor do you want infused with it, you might be in a lib bar.

This is true.

If you ask for hard liquor and it doesn't come out of a mason jar, it's probably a lib bar too.

No. I've been in both. Some you get plastic cups in some.. sometimes you get a nice glass... I've never been to a bar where they gave me liquor in a mason jar. Got a beer in one.. take that back I got a bloody Mary in one down in New Orleans.

If 50%of the beers on tap are IPA and the other are craft beers that are attempting to be something besides beer, it's a lib bar. Example: Pumpkin Pie Oatmeal Coffee Stout.

PBR is responsible for reviving many regional beers and jobs, as well as produce my favorite beer Stroh's.

I am fine with this. Every business should be able to serve and not serve who they choose, regardless of how silly the reason. The issue is when it is okay to deny service for a reason objectionable to the left, while it is not okay to deny service for a reason objectionable to the right. The "free" market (or what we have in the US) should be allowed to operate as such, and will decide the winners and losers of such decisions.

He should find another bar that has no problem with his hat..or remove it in ones that object to it.

Right. The point is the extreme hypocrisy and extreme hatred emanating from the left.

Of course, he is also free to publicize that the bar is run by bigoted, intolerant jerks.

You don't remember the old Pines Club Stink? They did mason jars for some of their beverages...

I thought every USM grad remembered that place since it was the first of two bars after "closing time" in Hattiesburg.

Its legal for a business to refuse service in 30 states simply because someone is LGBT. Many in here support NC legislation allowing businesses to deny service (including bakers) based upon the persons' status as a LGBT person.

If its legal for a business in North Carolina to say "No Gays" or "No Trans", and someone supports that.....then why would they get upset if another area, with different social mores says "No Trumpers"?

I support a hard non-discrimination ban in public accommodations, including religion, sexual orientation, and gender identity. But so long as we face discrimination, I have no particular issue with this. I wouldn't do it personally, but if a LGBT business owner wants to turn the tables, then what is y'all's problem with that.

Tom,

Two differences

(1) The big difference here is that nobody is saying the business should be forced to serve trumpers.

(2) Nobody says you "can't get mad" a a baker whose religion precludes them from participating in a sinful event. What we say is that you should not use guns and force (the final tools of the government) to settle your grievance.

Their hypocrisy, and nothing more.

Idiots like John Kasich (you're forgiven since you're a liberal) don't see that the bakers were not refusing to service gays. They were refusing to participate in a gay wedding. Baking a wedding cake means not just baking, but actually going and delivering to the service.

The guy in the hat was not asking the bar to cater a Trump rally. The gay couple wasn't asking to buy cupcakes.

For me, it comes down to this simply:

- if what you believe in/how you act, has nothing to do with expressing or conveying hatred (ie, being a Muslim, being black, being a jew, being Mexcian, being gay, being transgendered, etc.), then private businesses should not be allowed to deny service to you by law

- if what you believe in/how you act, is based upon expressing or conveying hatred, then you should receive zero protection under the law.

That's my preference , that I would like to see encoded into our laws and enforced by government and the legal system.
