UTSA will win at least 18 regular season games next season and finish within the top six of C-USA.

A four game increase would be nice for UTSA.

I'm looking for a stAte type turn around from McCasland. I want my Mean Green to win 20 next season. 05-stirthepot

Imagine the interview possibilities though. Talk about enlightening the masses. A few quick words before heading into the locker room at halftime, a few minutes on the court after each victory, and then the press conference after big games. The catch is that he needs to state his sig during every media obligation

Ask us again in early November when we finally figure out who hasn't transferred or failed to make it to campus.

That is so true. A positive view would be that we have 7 of the top 8 players returning and some promising recruits coming and if they all show then UTEP should contend for the league title. The pessimistic view is that we always seem to lose a couple of players to transfer or euro ball and some of the recruits fail to show. So yeah, November sounds about right. Of course, this year, after the team had played a few games we lost our best rebounder due to a clash with Floyd. So even November is not a sure thing.

Well, we have 75 kids returning/signed/committed, so something has to give. It's actually 17 for 13 spots. My guess is Harris, Jones, and Thomas are for sure back. Touchet, Flaggert, and Willms are likely. The rest? Who knows. It wouldn't surprise me in the least if 3/4 of our freshman class from this year don't make it to year 2 (Barrett, Cameron, and Barnes).

It sucks because we have a decent schedule next year, so it would be nice to have a decent team:

vs. Washington St. (unless they get out of it again)
vs. New Mexico
vs. NMSU
at NMSU
Puerto Rico Tip Off (Boise St., Florida St., Iowa St., Illinois St., South Carolina, Tulsa, UTEP, Western Michigan)

Don't schedule Tulane and you cut that in half.

I would think the 2 transfers, Tyree Griffin (5-10, PG) and Dominic Magee (6-4, G), along with Cortez Edwards (6-2, G) would be good projections for the starting lineup.

After that, who knows? Hopefully, we can bring in a player or 3 with some talent in the spring signing period.

and that's the point how too many are calling for Sadler's head....

shite, it's a miracle we were somewhat competitive this year with a depleted bench coupled with the injuries....AND the DT WRESTLING DEBACLE....at some point, one has to give the man an opportunity of fair value....

it's insane to carry a hatchet at this point....two years from now???? then I'll bow the the 'pontiffs' if the losing continues....

I would really like to get you and dahbeed in the same room. The conversation would be a spectator sport.

Maybe a game show...whoever deciphers the most wins!

Stink and I in the same room would more than likely turn into conversation on music much more than sports. If we discussed sports we'd be planning the destruction of ESPN and its whore-mouth. As much as both of us have grown up on sports it's music that never lets us down.

Here. Enjoy this. I was just listening to it while I changed oil on the G37x in preparation for a road trip to Flarda to visit my cousins.

ain't the truth....one day we'll share drink(s) and jam....

My brother went to one years ago and they didn't tighten the drain plug tight enough and he ended up losing it going down the highway. I coached 7-8 yr old girls soccer after getting married (for step daughter)....irony is my old man and the former wku AD Lou Marciani (yeah, the one that wanted to kill their football program....sigh) started the HYSA back in '76 after we moved from StL in '74

after the season, the parents gave me the 'unbreakable clipboard award'.....I still have it to this day....

thank goodness the seasons were limited to 20 games 03-wink

Stink, the G37x is my road trip car and drop wife off at church on Sundays car. I also own a '96 GMC (gay man's chevrolet) pickup. Regular cab with 8 foot bed. Dents all down the side from previous owner so I can get rough with it. I love it but the brake system is sh!t on these old trucks. I need to pick up an ABS module for it. The old one is impossible to bleed. Guy told me if I'd get one he'd hook his brake bleeder up to it and cycle it for me.

Mine don't be barking no tires amigo. It's the 4.3L v6. It had 139k one owner farmer who was the dad of a friend of mine. Still had the dealer rubber fob on the key ring. Dirty as hell inside. I take a leaf blower to the inside to clean it. All rubber with roll down knob windows. I did put a decent little stereo deck in it and need to throw some 6.5 polks in the doors. But it is the best damn work truck for a jake leg like me. Like I said, with the wavy dents down the side (previous driver: i can fit through there) I don't baby it. It looks like a Sanford and Son work truck. I got it for 1,500 two and half years ago. A steal for a truck that runs. AC cold as ice. Heat like the Mohave.

And it's a family truck as in my brother and mom and dad and anyone that needs it. If you own a truck it seems all your friends and family do too!!! 04-cheers

Well we just lost our first player to transfer. Likely not getting enough playing time. Freshman Chris Barnes played sparingly but a talented young man. Best of luck to him.

Haynes and Fields have decided to transfer, but both had limited playing time. Fields was a walk on.

We just picked up a SF grad transfer from Wake Forest to fill the need of a decent rebounder with one of our graduated seniors being the rebound machine. Was buried on the bench at Wake, his goal is to make an impact on a program and play in the NCAAT.

So as far as the transfer epidemic goes, we've fared well so far, but my fellow ODU fans on our boards seem to be crying rivers since we still don't have a freshman big man signed yet.

Memphis will be at Bartow so we will have to fumigate the place for a second year in a row. (Auburn this past year)

RE: Looking Ahead to Next Year
Kermit has landed another grad transfer - Nick King from the Univ of Alabama.

King was a consensus Top 50-rated player coming out of a Memphis high school. He was a starter early at Memphis State but apparently when Pastner went more to a guard focused set, King saw his playing time dwindle. He transferred to Bama and had a lung infection missing most of last year.

Whether off the bench or in the starting lineup he could help smooth some of the loss of scoring on the floor from Upshaw's position.
