Do Venezuelans Love Socialism? Democrats Love it!

Quote:American Democrats love socialism. Filmmaker Ami Horowitz spoke with a few of them before heading to Venezuela to find out how well socialism is working out for people there. The answer is, not so well.

One woman told him, “Most of the time we are starving. … We cannot find food, we cannot find milk. … We cannot find basic things like sugar.”

What would Venezuelans tell misguided Americans? “They would have to live what we are living so they can see for themselves that nothing is good,” said one woman, “so they see this is a nightmare for us, a terror.”

I don't think anyone loves socialism, but they might mistrust undisciplined capitalism. Even I do, and I'm no Berner.

That was powerful. A must watch for every Bernie Sanders supporter.

Did you even watch the video? American Democrats give praise to Socialism at the beginning.

Should have some of his supporters go live in Venezuela for 6 month's. See how many survive.

Nope. I'll usually would but the premise is exaggerated to me from the beginning. It's only worth watching or reading around here if the point is to start a discussion.

Exaggerated...or just something you do not want to hear because there is some truth to it.

Exaggerated inherently means that that there is some truth to it, so no that's not the problem. I never said it was a lie. The problem is that this thread wasn't meant to start discussion in the first place.

Hard to start a discussion when you do not even watch the video. Just because you assume to know what it is about.

Reminds me of back in the 1930s and 1940s, the left leaning American "fellow travelers" bent over backwards to not see Stalin's purges. Stalin was busy killing 20 million of his own countrymen and they referred to him as Uncle Joe. Many of the more prominent were in government, Hollywood and literary circles.

It amazing that despite all that Libturds complain about the US they are well fed, well protected, and live better and yet they think Socialism is a utopia. Like the people in that video that confront those problems every day tell us to come live there and witness it personally. But, guess what? There's no way any Liberal will do it. I really don't know where their heads are. The devil has really got them in his power and see no reason. In Socialist countrys it's true that the rich get richer and the poor get poorer.

Venezuela is a time bomb and will explode some day. I hope soon. The hard part is finding weapons. Now, do you know why the Demoncrats want to take away our guns? If you don't, you're a fool plain and simple.

I think Venezuela has the potential to be the America's version of Syria. Need to get that wall built.

The video is exactly what I'd thought it would be. 5 liberals off the street. How many did he ask before he decided upon which 5 to use and why didn't he include all of their full statements or ask any follow-ups? Actually I wouldn't even describe 3 of the 5 as "love it". It's the same **** that liberals used to do with their "Republicans like Obama's policies and don't even know it" crap.

He also didn't address any of the big questions. Why did socialism find a home in Venezuela in the first place? Was capitalism good to everybody there before that? You can ask the same of Cuba.

He combined street questions and suffer porn to make a short and shallow video.

So you expected the police officer to walk by the dead body like it was an everyday thing?

It's suffer porn. Dead bodies, bloated children, protests, barefooted people, starvation, etc. All usual devices in the genre.

This is real life. This is happening in the world. Its not fiction. The fact that you refer to it like something out of a book, movie or tv show is both concerning and frightening.

It is undeniable that pure socialism has failed everywhere it has been attempted. I did find it curious that one of the young men that he interviewed had a full set of braces on his teeth. Something to me was a bit off in this expose.. Everyone interviewed looked to have had new hair cuts and were well dressed. Even the streets in the barrio were litter free.

Who's worse, me for seeing what the videographer is doing or the videographer for doing it? He's not the only person to do it either. Tom's shoes was notorious for it.
