Time to put our resumes in.

Let me know who's interested in an assistant position. I'm looking to put together a complete resume with my staff already set and in order to better compete. Remember... saving at least two spots for young Siddle and Blizzard. I'll also have to differ my position here as mod, so I don't run into one of them there conflict of interest SN08 is always blabberin about.
Do you need posters to supply "character" references for you? I am certain we could "fix you up"!

VCU officials meeting with Rice's Mike Rhoades today. Mull associated Rhoades and Jamion Christian with the VCU job, so if Rhoades gets it, it shouldn't have any impact on our hire.

Man, that was fast. Gary Parrish reporting that Mike Rhoades to VCU is a done deal.

that's a good thing for us, hadn't heard his name mentioned at all. His record at Rice isn't all that impressive.

I have a HS diploma and coached peewee soccer for 10 years. Maybe my OJT coaching experience can be substituted for college. 04-cheers

No worries. Just gonna need you to enroll at Phoenix Online University during the offseason.

Hey guys, I think we've taken enough shots at NC State's past coaching searches. Let's let Sidney Lowe be 03-lmfao

Pat Kelsey from Wingate to UMass. According to some, with UMass making their hire, UNCW is now the best non-P5 job open.

FWIW, Alex Riley heard that Kelsey's named had been "bandied" around for UNCW.

More chatter- https://hoopdirt.com/daily-dirt-32117/
"A name picking up steam at UNC Wilmington is Louisville associate head coach Kenny Johnson. The former Indiana assistant has also worked at Towson, so he’s familiar with the CAA. Other names that I’ve heard here are Michigan assistant (and UNCW alum) Billy Donlon, and NCCU head coach LeVelle Moton."

I like Moton of all those choices. Johnson is interesting for sure. D onlon would be a style change, not sure that's a smart move. We need to recruit someone working at the airport for the boards for times like these :)

I'm not sure how much more connected these people are than the average Joe throwing out names. Within the same bulleted information it says that the hottest name right now at UMass is Florida Gulf Coast head coach Joe Dooley.

No offense but I hope they stay away from Donlon and the assistant there now seems very green for a program as good as UNCW is right now.

I'm fairly certain the majority of us agree with that. Three years ago we would have loved it. Now... not so much.

RE: Keatts replacement
That guy knows no more than us. So we'd take the 2nd best Louisville assistant. Didn't their top guy go to Arkansas State. Zero chance we go after him IMO. Much rather have Siddle. Zero chance Bass goes for Donlon given style of play and prior history (I like Donlon BTW). Moton is the only guy that makes any sense out of those. But I question his tempo and if it fits our new brand and Bass's vision.

Keatts was even more green. He had less D1 experience.

Agree, but I'd have to hear more and know more about that assistant's background. We knew Keatts had significant success as a HC at lower levels and was a top notch recruiter. If you're gonna make it as an assistant you better have some solid bonus credentials.

VCU already hired their next coach. Got feeling that Bass is leaning toward Caputo
