We see so many stories about the bad actions of college athletes, it is nice to see that there are actually some who were true student-athletes and made a career for themselves outside of football or basketball.

I believe he's referring to the seven years of residency required for neurosurgery (which may or may not require a fellowship ... not sure).

Regardless, good for him! Already a long path, and a long path yet to go.

I'd be shocked if it didn't require a fellowship.
