RE: Golladay Report
Didn't understand the 50/50 balls comment. I have complete confidence that he would catch them against anybody IF the ball was thrown correctly.

Yea I didn't understand that either. He seemed to be very good at catching the ball in traffic, even when it wasn't thrown correctly.

I can recall only 1 time in 2 full seasons (last game against Kent State) when he flat out dropped a well thrown ball; that's pretty impressive.

I can't remember him not winning jumpballs.

RE: Golladay Report
Of all the weaknesses listed, the only one I see that is valid that does not go on the coaching staff and NIU's offense is the level of competition thing. Even there though, I cant really consider that a weakness. 75% of those weaknesses listed are all about the type of offense he played on and the deficiencies of coaching.

Really impressed with that gauntlet drill at combine, he just ripped off he ball out of the air. One of the articles alluded to him being able to run the "stem". I do not recall him running a routes, mainly fades and up to be sideline. Probably a function.of our QB play.
Damn what a waste of talent without a QB. When McCariens was here, did he have a QB ? or was it similar to what KG dealt with? I was there I just don't remember. LOL

If I'm not mistaken Chris Finlen was McCarreins' QB. He was pretty solid. Not great but good. He also had Darrell Hill to throw. Both ended up in the NFL.

Thanks. Finlen was solid.

Hell, Finlen knocked around NFL mini-camps for a couple years, IIRC

RE: Golladay Report
I have a feeling Golloday will go higher than anticipated. In an offense dominated league, someone with his skill sets will be hard to drop too deep
