As I and others have noted, this team has a solid core of first and second year players and if Coach Cullop's recruiting can continue to produce players like these and then if the stars also align is such a way as to enable her to get back to the NCAA (and that is a BIG IF) sometime in the next 2 years then, with the experience gained from this year's appearance, I would expect very different results the next time.
We should not lose sight of the fact that any Toledo BB team winning the MAC Tournament (or FB team winning the MACC) is such rare, rare occurrence that this alone equates to a remarkable and unusually successful season by definition regardless of what happens in the post-season.
Creighton looked surprisingly quick--they really moved the ball and players around the perimeter like a whirlwind, and that led to some pretty open looks from 3. Noticed that they didn't often waste time dribbling around; 2 or 3 dribbles and then a quick pass...repeat...repeat...shoot. I give credit to them more than thinking our D was poor. Hope the Bluejays knock off Oregon State.
Can't argue that Creighton moves the ball effectively and is a good team. However, they are not Notre Dame good or even UCLA good if the polls are to be believed, yet Toledo had better games against both of those teams than they did against Creighton------of course different teams do match up differently.

There were moments when our defense looking like itself, but Creighton was still a much stronger team. Our offense looked just as bad as our defense. They snuffed our inside shooting with their size and arms everywhere, and unfortunately nothing much else was falling. Not sure we could beat that team with our best night on their worst night.

Well, Creighton goes up against #2 Oregon St. tomorrow. Will be interesting to see how they do.

Adding insult to injury it seems like the ladies plane broke down before takeoff and they've spent the last 4-5 hours waiting on a new plane from Los Angeles. Hint...don't use Allegiant Air

RE: WBB in the NCAA: Toledo vs. Creighton
Creighton was 16-2 in the 7th ranked Big East.
UT was 12-6 in the 10th ranked MAC.
Before the game, Creighton's RPI was 23. After the win Creighton's RPI 19.
Toledo's RPI before the game 44, UT's RPI after the game 53.
Creighton was probably slightly under seeded at a 7, could have been a 6.
UT likely overseeded at a 10, probably should have been an 11.
But with 6 & 11 seeds, Rockets and Blue Jays could have still met in the first round.
Creighton was the better team, but the Rockets also had a bad night, not a good combination.

I think you're probably right about all the seeding. Probably a little high for Toledo. Creighton lost to #2 Oregon St. 64-52.

Lots of pictures posted on twitter of the Rockets being honored by the Mayor and City Council. Also received a proclamation from the governor. Here's 1 pic:

the only upsets so far in the first two rounds was a 9 over an 8 and then randomly 12 seed Quinnipiac winning both their games, otherwise its business as usual in the WNCAA.
