That's actually an interesting question. Pastner would almost certainly still be the coach, and we'd probably have won a few more league and conference titles (the tournament would stay in Memphis). Joe Jackson's senior season with Shaq, Nichols, Crawford, Geron and Dixon might have gone 16-0 in league and finished something like 29-4. I don't know if any of those things would equate to wins in March, but I imagine we'd always be there on selection Sunday.

Our football program would also be dead as a doornail, as soon as Fuente left. We are in an infinitely better situation now.

Interesting thoughts.

The move up in conferences certainly benefited football to the detriment of hoops.

As have other things internally in the AD office.

We'd be buried near the bottom of it...that's what.

shrug.

I can't even talk about it without going ballistic.

ooops here I go..People yelled at me to shut up. We had to pulverize our BB program, 'they' kept saying, or we were all gonna die!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And it's not like we all didn't hear the rumors of turmoil, among other things.
Memphis is a small town.

my bad..i'm just mad.

I don't see it that way. Yes, MTSU is still dancing but they are one coaching move away from being....MTSU again.

UConn, Cincy are pretty solid programs and a whole lot better than what C-USA has to offer. If MTSU is the marquee C-USA team, that pretty much tells me that our hoops doesn't have anyone to blame, but ourselves.

Same place we always were. Winning the conference every year and making the NCAA's every year.
