....and most of it was about how upset pubs are with Trump (which I don't think is a bad thing) because they don't believe his claims, yada yada yada.

Then I came to this part:

Quote:Mr. Graham and Senator Sheldon Whitehouse, Democrat of Rhode Island, asked the F.B.I. last week for copies of any warrant applications and court orders “related to wiretaps of President Trump, the Trump campaign or Trump Tower.”

Mr. Graham said Wednesday afternoon that the F.B.I. had offered to respond to the letter from him and Mr. Whitehouse in a classified briefing.

Muh question is, why would a response need to be given in a classified briefing if the answer is a simple "no, there were no warrant aaplications or court orders"?

I don't know. Nothing about the whole affair makes sense to me. It really doesn't. At first I believed Trumps tweets because it made sense to me. Why in the hell wouldn't they have him undercsurvellyance withh all of the shenanigans going on and how often their inner circle met with them. It turns out I was naive judging the congressional responses and how adamant they are with the responses. I honestly don't know. I now think that they thought Hillaryvwas going to win anyways. Hubris.

Look at what happened to reporters and legislators over the past eight years. The Obama administration was caught, several times, surveilling them. To think that they did not keep an ear on Trump to the degree that they could get away with is a very naive position.

And let's not forget the Clintons and the magically appearing/disappearing FBI files. That along with secret runway meeting to "talk about grandchildren" really stinks. And if the shoe were on the other foot you would behaving a fit.

There is history here.

All that being said.

(1) I don't think Obama ordered, or had to order it... Part of the problem with the size and power of the bureaucracy is that the left hand can act without the knowledge or consent of the right hand.

(2) I don' think that "wires were tapped".... Because that would have been a higher legal bar. But I do think they did everything in their power, including abuse of the FISA court.

Mach, I think you've finally stumbled into the correct answer. Trump was under survelliance, information was gathered, and perhaps some of it was illegally passed on to the Clinton campaign, but almost no one (other than Trump himself) ever dreamed he'd be elected president.

But he was. And as president he's got access to information that they thought he'd never have.

Trump is using all of this to see what concessions he can extract from his opposition on both sides of the aisle.

He's evil, he's a genius, and he' winning........bwahahahahahahahahah.

"Classified Briefing" why? Just tell us that Trumps offices were wiretapped.
