CSUB (WAC) vs. Colorado State (MWC)
Ok Runners. This game is a huge game not only for CSUB's program but the perception of the WAC. Even though the WAC had a winning record of 4-3 vs. MWC (should have been 6-1 since NMSU blew one vs. CSU and UVU vs. Utah State), they still have the pretentious notion that they are heads and tails above the WAC. The WAC is definitely on the rise based on our performance vs. our non conference schedule, facility upgrades, attendance throughout, and WAC tourney attendance improvement. The WAC championship game was upgraded from ESPNN to ESPNU. I imagine with the addition of GCU to tourney next year I wouldn't doubt we make ESPN2 and have great crowds. Hurd probably would secretly love to see a NMSU/GCU championship game cause the Orleans would actually resemble more the WCC tourney games attendance wise instead of the empty WAC games of the past. The MWC had a whopping 5000+ in Vegas at the Thomas & Mack for their championship game. Anyway CSUB, go and blow out CSU and make the new WAC proud vs. basically old WAC with a new name, the Mountain West Conference.

......I'll do the best we can. (if THAT makes any sense)
I will go rent a roadrunner suit from a costume shop, don it while I dine on hot wings at a sportsbar, all this, while I make a bonfire out of woolen garments in the parking lot.
How's that?
Yah, hopefully, IF we play our game (...ALL game long...) I DO like our chances. We played Arizona tough first game out of the gate. We also played SMU close. Durham must show up for this game. Fouls must remain low as well. Like Pistol said in another thread, the 'Runners really must avoid those dumb fouls late inside, when the basket is nearly assured and avoid making it a 3-pt play (or even a 2 point play on FTs when the ball just bounced around the rim and didnt fall on the shot).

Good luck Bakersfield and Kansas City against the MW. Also UVU against Rice, #5 WAC vs #5 CUSA. I like our chances on all these games.
