Really? Going down there and getting curbstomped 10-77 this past season hasn't made them want to try and schedule another P5 opponent?

Northwestern is always a great road game for Miami with how many alums we have in the Chicago area. Back when we played them in 2003, eyewitnesses said that we brought close to 10K to Ryan Field, hopefully our fan base develops enough over the next five years that we can come close to replicating that feat.

Northwestern is a buy game? How much are they paying Akron? Last I knew, Northwestern wasn't big or rich enough to pay the $750k-$1 million that the other schools pay to buy a one-and-done.

$1.2 million.

It's the same price OSU is paying BG ($1.2M). Miami agreed to play Northwestern for $975k.

Wow, wonder where Northwestern is getting that kind of money. I think when we played them three (?) years ago all we got was $500k. Maybe it was less.

All-in Big Ten schools did get $32.4m per school from the conference in 2015-2016, which is over $6m higher than 2012-2013, and that'll be up sharply by 2018. With OOC games down from four to three, even with current Go5 buy contracts in the $1m+ range, it seems like most Big Ten schools ought to be able to manage two Go5 buy games in addition to one "peer" home and away.
