NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament Pregame Party
The University of Toledo women’s basketball team is going to the Big Dance and we want you to join us this week at the NCAA tournament! Toledo will meet the Creighton University Bluejays on Friday, March 17 in first-round play at Oregon State University in Corvallis, where the game will be played.

To help all Rocket fans support the team, the Alumni Association is offering a complimentary buffet reception from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. PT, in the Cascade Ballroom at the CH2M HILL Alumni Center. The OSU alumni center is a two-minute walk from Gill Coliseum.

Because NCAA rules require all pregame events to conclude one hour prior to the start of the doubleheader, our pregame party will precede the Oregon State-Long Beach State game at 2 p.m. The Rockets and Bluejays’ game is scheduled to begin at 4:30 p.m.

The menu for the pregame party includes:

Artisan Bread with Butter
Sweet Spinach Salad with Cranberries, Walnuts, Chevre, Honey Mustard and Balsamic Vinaigrette
Garlic and Herb Chicken
Porter Glazed Salmon
Chive Mashed Potatoes
Roasted Parsnips & Carrots
Marionberry Cheesecake
Flourless Chocolate Cake
Lemonade
Water

Doubleheader game tickets are $20 and may be reserved at the UT Athletic Ticket Office, by going online at UTRockets.com. or by calling 419.530.4653. Tickets may be reserved until noon (ET) on Friday. All tickets can be picked up at Will Call at Gill Coliseum. There will also be an opportunity to pick up tickets at the team hotel in Corvallis. Ticket purchasers will be notified by email with pickup time and location.

Should the Rockets advance to the second round of the tournament on Sunday, the Alumni Association will host another pregame party. Ticket orders for that game will be taken online at UTRockets.com immediately following Friday’s game.

Make plans now to support the Rockets in Oregon! Reservations may be made for the pregame event by calling 800.235.6766 or clicking here. Go Rockets!!!!

RE: NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament Pregame Party
Since many Rocket fans can't make the trip to Oregon, I wonder if UT or the alumni association would consider doing one of these pre-game shindigs here in town, followed by watching the game on the big screen in Savage? I would pay the same amount to be part of that package, just here in Toledo.

I thought the exact same thing. I know Toledo is hosting boys regional games this week but if Savage Arena is free Friday night there should be a watch party inside.

Savage Arena isn't available this week for a large watch party. It is an Ohio High School Boys Regional Basketball Tournament site and the final game is on Friday, March 17 at 7:30 p.m.

Figured. No other possible locations other than Savage? Maybe even on campus, and just rent some large screens, or stream the feed onto a large wall? Probably would be a challenge to gets something arranged now. Seems a shame that we have a team in the "big dance" once again and most of us will be watching at home or in small pockets of fans at a bar...maybe BG would let us use the Stroh Center 05-stirthepot

The large auditorium in the Student Union would be ideal to host a watch party. I agree, it is unfortunate there's not a watch party of some type when this is the first time we've gone dancing in 16 years!

and it's easily catered because while the richy riches are living it up in Corvallus, the hoi polloi should at least get a taste. Maybe some of those chive mashed potatoes.

Fetterman would work.

One of the large class rooms at Rocket Hall?

Creativity required.
