Who knows what will come with a coaching change. USM fans know how horribly wrong those can go.

The real disasters usually come from hiring the old retreads. A brand new coach might lose early but usually has the drive to win at some point. Or at least not be a complete disaster.

At this point a couple years of 6 to 7 wins would be a disaster to Western. But not one like we saw at S. Miss.

Yes, our faceplant was legendary. No one had ever gone 12-2 to 0-12. After 18 straight winning seasons, we were due. Monumental. 100 years of football. We've clawed our way back now. 2 winning seasons in a row. Just need a smidge more depth.

I remember kicking the crap out of WKU in our last meeting. Looking forward to continuing our dominance over them. 05-stirthepot

With the help of a rookie coach making the mistake of going for it on 4th and 1 up 14 middle of 3rd qt on Western's own 34 yardline.

Completely turned the game around.

Plus Jordan Howard KILLED Western. Not only that game but the next year also at IU. If not for him Western most likely played in the in the G5 spot on New Years. Maybe not but Western would have been ranked and moving up the charts. I believe Houston was 15th or 17th in the polls

Wish we had a Jordan Howard on this team. Sucks we didn't get to see him in green and gold one more year.

Wish we would've gotten to see Greg Bryant play too :/
