why isnt this forum a direct tie in to one of the current thriving pirate sports boards?
unless im mistaken, piratefans.net or mingesmaniacs.com would make a good choice

would there be issues underlying the reason to not do this like member logs or what?

PirateFans - when all the CUSA fans made the move to this board from KillerFrogs, OTM lost his mind when he found out that the board was run by a GT/ACC fan. I think a tie-in to that board is about as likely as ECU's admission to the ACC in March.

Nothing against OTM, but GTS is pretty even-handed in my experience. Don't see the big deal there, but OTM certainly can do with his site as he wishes.

We could just try and boost the traffic here on our own and grow it into something like what Memphis has here.

i had memphis site on my mind when posting.

OTMs done a great job with pirate fans it appears, i dont really frequent the 204 myself but he needs to come to grips that GTS is just a fan of Georgia Tech::: he's not a helicopter pilot

maybe banning ole mongo would be a sufficient sacrifice to prove GTS is working for the good of all

I wish all schools had their best Forum linked here. It would make everything a lot easier with every school represented on here. Try and convince your board leader to make it a NCAABBS.com forum. Nothing would really change except it would be linked on here so when someone clicks ECU, they will be transfered to your site.

Out of the three major ECU sites that I know of, none of them really fit the bill. Boneyard is an ancient format (though pretty popular and where I post the most), Piratefans is presumably going to always be an independent site, and Mingesmaniacs is probably more of a student-type of site.

If this forum is ever going to grow, it's gonna have to do it on it's own.
