Columbia thread
Starting this a day early, because they just announced the starting pitcher for tomorrow. Powers will go Tuesday, TBA Wednesday.
Maybe they want to save Braley for relief against LaTech?

Columbia just played a game in Starkville this morning after playing one on Friday and two on Sunday in State's tournament. So, they will be playing their fourth game in three days tomorrow with a three-game set at Tulane this weekend.
I assume the Ivy Leaguers are trying to cram in a ton of games during their Spring Break.
0-7
Swept at Florida
Lost all four at State this weekend (two to USA and two to MSU). Looks like they were competitive in all of them (4-1, 5-4, 4-3, 11-8). You onder what kind of pitching they have left, though.
Maybe the plan is to see what Powers gives us Tuesday and then decide Wednesday from there. I'm sure Berry would prefer to save Braley but if we use several pitchers on Tuesday, he might throw him on Wednesday.

Somewhat competitive at FLA as well:
http://warrennolan.com/baseball/2017/schedule/Columbia
They were in games late. Lost a couple of walk off games as well as couldn't capitalize on situations late in games to take the lead.
That being said, current RPI is 251 and pitching has to be stretched.
Powers is a good choice for Tuesday. Braley pitched on Wed. last week. Don't see why he wouldn't go in game on Wed. unless something went haywire.

Agreed 100% considering they had only played the 3 games at Florida prior to this past weekend at MSU. At State they played 4 games with the 4th game being played yesterday morning. I would imagine their pitching would be very thin and inexperienced as today (Tuesday) will be their 4th game in 3 days (and tomorrow obviously is 5 games in 4 days). Surely today or tomorrow's game their SP will be making his first start of the season and looking at their stats, their SPs have averaged less than 5 innings per start. The one thing that "might" work against us will be the weather with it being probably in the wind chill 40's range.

Both teams have to play in it, but the temperature is really affecting this one. Pitchers that normally throw mid upper 80s are sitting at 82-84.
