Saw on Facebook that we are getting special shoes for the tournament. Pic I snagged below.

RE: NCAA Tournament Shoes
I don't really get the gold shoes..but...
If those shoes help them make shots I am all for them.

If the guys shoot like crap wearing those...
I'll curse em like the white football helmets from the Sugar Bowl!

No one is picking this team to do anything.
Would love these guys to surprise the world.
Go Bearcats!

RE: NCAA Tournament Shoes
I've been out of the shoe game for awhile and maybe I'm just getting old, but new players' shoes today just don't compete with the ones of my days 10 years ago. Hell the Jordan's from 10-15 years ago still sell like crazy.

These are ok, but I'd like them a heck of a lot more if they were white red and black.

Also, is it really smart to be breaking in a new pair of shoes in our round one of the Tourney?

Agree and I'm not sure how often college teams change out shoes, but I think it is pretty frequently and I would guess most teams will be doing the same, even if they are not special shoes.

I know I personally like to get a pair of shoes broken in and stick with them, but nowadays I don't think that is the case in college hoops. They want a good sole that isn't worn at all for quick movements.

Maybe someone in the know can shed some light on how often shoes are changed out at the college level.

10-15 years? You're making me feel old. The Jordan V's were the pinnacle for me, and I still see tons of kids wearing the V's, but that was 27 years ago...they were like $300 way back then (now way in Hades my mom was going to spring for those!)

Will they help our 3 point shooting? Will they get Troy to push the ball up fast?

You haven't had one positive thing posted in forever.

If UC makes you that miserable, what's the point?

I mean, at least bulldog had good things to say about JJ and Brooks.

Hugs always said he didn't care what his players wore on their feet...if a shoe gave a player confidence he was all for it.

I've always heard that shoes are swapped out quite often (a matter of 2-3 games or so). Either seems excessive, or is an indication of exactly how hard these guys play 04-jawdrop

I still buy the retro jordans.. just got a pair of the XII's last week.. and am looking forward to the red suede V's releasing this year as well..

IMO no better shoes in the world than the XII's(comfort and style).. but I digress.. these shoes are ugly ..

Agreed. I still have all three pairs of my 12s still. Red and black of course, white and black Lows and the white and blues also.

Also anyone who complains about how expensive they are I'm saying that I can still wear the pairs that I bought over ten years ago to play basketball. They are great shoes.

they had the opposite affect i expected. i wasn't expecting these shoes to be sorta ridiculed. i had spent almost $200 on them, money saved from my first job
