too many forced shots in the first half didnt go in. the mavs made a good run at it tho and 6336 crowd got to see an exciting game. all in all a pretty good year for the mavs.

Very proud of our team. These are some wonderful guys. Proud of our fans last night. When we were down by 19 at one point in the second half, there were no people heading for the exits. They were there and loud until the end. I think people appreciate what this team and coaches have done. And , of course, it was the NIT in our arena.

Saint Peter's scoring offense = 312
Texas State's scoring offense = 291
Saint Peter's scoring defense = 10
Texas State's scoring defense = 19

Points may be at a premium on Saturday.

UGH - we were up by 14 now only up by 3 with 1:26 left in 1st. Opened up 14-0 before they even scored.

Now they've gone on a 17-0 run and we're tied at the half.

Final: 49-44 St. Pete . . Bobcat season is over.

Very Proud of this team, you can certainly credit them with having overachieved.

Hopefully the experience gained pays off down the line. . . .

The system is rigged against us. The big leagues feast on home games in the OOC schedule. Home court advantage is real and they know it. They aren't penalized for not traveling and have an inflated W-L record that they take back to conference and that's a problem. Some of those same leagues have to travel in baseball because of their weather, so they changed the rules to benefit them to where a road game is more valuable than a home game. It's the adjusted W-L record. Until we have something similar in basketball we are fighting a rigged system.

It's the "big boys" playground and they feel we are lucky to be let in at all. It's called collusion and last time I checked is illegal. Problem is these are government institutions so the government won't do anything about it.

Let's keep our fingers crossed for positive change to the selection process next year. As you probably know, these items were discussed recently in a meeting with selection committee representatives and all of the famous ratings systems (including Massey, Sagarin, etc.) to discuss adjustment or abandonment of the current RPI system the NCAA uses. Sagarin in particular stood up and addressed the need to adjust for home games versus road games and apparently even received a huge round of applause.

Laramie boasts to have the "highest" basketball court in the nation over 7,000 feet is what I heard

our flatlanders may suck some air

with our recent spate of injuries unfortunately the rotation is short

Have had difficulty accessing the board lately for some reason. Just wanted to say congrats to those who put on a good show this postseason, and good luck to Coastal as they go for a trophy!

FWIW - The CIT final is this Friday.
TAMUCC vs St Peter's. The game is at TAMUCC. I might try to get tickets as I live 8 miles from campus.

Can't believe we had like a 17-0 run on those guys . . .

. . . and then let them have a 17-0 run on us . . .

We also had multiple starters get injured in game 1 of the championship series. So we all knew it would be an uphill battle in game 2. Probably in game 3 as well.
