RE: What do we do well?? What to expect next year.....
I think we should keep in mind that, according to ESPN just last year, that:

Quote:Memphis is considered a top-25 job among college basketball coaches and administrators for its proximity to talent, its facilities and its storied history.

Source

Also, every coach from Bartow forward (except Price/Jones) earned an NCAA bid within 2 to 3 years upon hire.

It is not unreasonable for Tiger fans to expect better than 30+ point blowouts in the final two games and at least an NCAA appearance within three years under Tubby.

He is on the clock and must be held accountable, IMO.

that perception is now at risk after three straight years with no postseason appearances

Not sure the actual job itself is the problem.

Think the problem is more systemic and has to do with the money guys in charge.

Depth and Tubby didn't coach 'em up as well as advertised.

So if Dedric leaves we have no viable options according to you and Tubby was supposed to "Coach them up". Sounds like you need to make up your mind.

No, if DL leaves that's the best player gone. Left with average point guard and KJ who can be pretty good but not as good as his brother. Jimario is just too slender. Markel can be very good but something went horribly wrong with him late.

Unsure on what we have with Clergeot.

Azab? As far as I can tell he was largely unrecruited.

Tubby failed to add any meaningful depth this year so all I see are incoming freshmen and whatever he can scrape up late.

Tubby really didn't coach up what he had and he failed to round out this year's roster and is not exactly setting the woods on fire with 2017 class.

What do you think?

Hey macgar32,

You ever going to answer or were you just trying to stir up ****?

I guess you were just stirring up **** and not actually trying to engage in a conversation. Good to know for future reference.....

Yep, that's part of it. But I think it is a multi-faceted problem. This is definitely one of the less visible ones.
