Literally NCAA punished FSU for turning itself it.

The moral of the story, rape children in ala Penn State....you are free to go. Spend decades cheating the system.....NCAA has decided to take its time mysteriously (Swofford protecting them??????....wonder how Clemson feels about this possibility) in finding justice.

It is all so bizarre.

Just threaten to sue & the NCAA will apparently back down.

Maryland president: Would expect shutdown of UNC over academic allegations

I am by no means sticking up for UNC, but Maryland is in the BIG now. Why dont those folks stop making these silly comments about the ACC and worry about their fellow BIG institutions, and let the ACC folks worry about their own. It would be better for Maryland folks to to focus their efforts worrying about their own AD financial pitfalls than worrying about what the NCAA does to UNC.

Because they can't help themselves?

The school doesn't even have to sue, just a group of boosters and fans. They'll fold like a tent.

I personally am not really a fan of what he said. I understand the sentiment but he should be above it. Should have just gone with coach speak. I can only control my university. Let the NCAA had the situation at UNC. I believe he was asked a question and not just came out with this statement. If he just came out with this statement...There is no defending that.
