The better team played today. Sometimes the three point line turns a bball game into game of chance.

Really? I wish I shared your optimism about the Bruins. UCLA has blue blood recruits and can score from all over the court. I think people in this part of the country seriously undervalue the Pac 12 since we never see their games. OR, AZ or UCLA would seem to me to be Final Four talented.

We can only hope UC has a chance for more rest and preparation for the KSU/Wake play-in winner. That's tough for those teams to play that game and then go to the west coast for a Friday matchup.

UCLA (if we get to UCLA) will blow our doors off.

UCLA

they have been beaten by teams such as Minnesota and Texas Tech in the opening round since 2000. We can beat them.

But first things first.

that's the spirit

bet the 11 seed Minnesota fans thought the same thing three years ago...and then Minnesota beat them.

UCLA runs a system like Marshall but with much, much higher skilled athletes . They have six dudes who avg in double figures. TJ Leaf and Lonzo Ball are studs.

Yep. UCLA looked pretty awesome beating Kentucky in Rupp Arena earlier this season.

If UC beat SMU by a dozen this afternoon there would be a little more sunshine on the board. Heck, play a great game and lose by a couple of baskets and it would be partly sunny. That UC performance today did nothing to suggest the 'Cats will be ready to defend and score on elite talent at every position on that UCLA squad. That's assuming UC can regroup and win game one.

I think there is a chance to frustrate UCLA's Ball with some tight defense, and he seems the type to press harder if frustrated rather than feed teammates.

But let's win the first game first.
