Trying to decide if it will be worth making the drive from Austin for today's game. Austin weather is not bad – just a few showers – but the radar between Austin and Houston is pretty ugly. What are you hearing in Houston about the weather for this afternoon there?

Same here. A Stanford-grad coworker and I had planned to drive down for today's game, but decided to can the trip yesterday. Any sort of delay would push our return to Austin very late, plus we lose an hour tonight.

It's hard to totally say because who knows if more will develop behind the current batch, but it looks like worst will pass to our south.

The heaviest stuff is offshore but there is a healthy section of medium intensity rain drifting northward. At the least, we'll be playing in a light drizzle throughout the game. At worst, there may be some delays but they should be able to get in a game today eventually.

Serves us right for scheduling those California teams as they're bringing in all the rain with them.

Cool and drizzling at The Reck. Game should be played in these conditions. Won't be comfortable for most fans tho.

1:15pm and a thunderstorm now passing through the area. Not sure how big the band is.

UPDATE: Oficially in rain delay. Still hopeful to play today. Will provide 30 min warning once updated first pitch time is set.

2:10p Rain has stopped and skies lightening (for now). Still no word from Rice Baseball re. 30 minute warning.

Weather radar still shows some storms to the southwest headed toward us. Rain is supposed to end around 3-3:30
