I've been off the board for awhile not much wrestling talk going on.

ODU sends 5 wrestlers to the NCAA tournament next week, Beazley, Dechow, Hayes, Wright and Madrigal. 8th seed Dechow and 10th seed Beazley would be our only real chance of getting on the podium/ all-american status next weekend.

Tournament starts March 16.

Dechow and beazley will both do very well in this tourney IMO.

Anyone going to St. Louis for this?

NCAA Championships start today. We have 5 wrestlers in the tourney. Two are seeded (Dechow and Beazley).
ESPN3 will air today's matches. Madrigal should be the first on the mat at about 12:15 or so in the 133lb class.

We're down to 4 wrestlers in the field, Madrigal didn't make weight at 133 per the ODU Wrestling Twitter

Watch live on ESPNU at 12 pm ET... I've got my office looking like a sports bar between wrestling and basketball tournaments today. I didn't expect much from Madrigal but dang another year of freshman mistakes. Wright didn't make weight at the MAC last year.

Saaverda didn't make weight at NCAA's last year either. Same weight class too. He's not on the team anymore right?

Beazley advances with a pin.

So we have two in the round of 16 (Dechow at 184 and Beazley at 197)

Hayes is currently on mat 6 and trailing after 1.

Dechow won in OT, so Dechow and Beazley to quarters

Dechows next match is going to be the biggest match of his college career and very well his last major opponent he'll ever face in wrestling. 2X NCAA Champ Gabe Dean.

Doesn't look like they've happened yeet. Just found the brackets at wrestlingtracker.com and it says there are six matches before Dechow's match and seven matches before Beazley's.
