They do hate us, but I think Middle's got a better resume than we had, even though our RPI was better. Course, my memory is suspect.

Bubble teams are dropping really early in their conference tourneys... Syracuse, Michigan State...

Agreed (are we talking about the 2013 or 2014 team??).

Their win over UNCW is equal to our win vs NDSU, but they also have a win over Vandy who I think is a tourney team.

Middle should be a lock to be in, even losing tomorrow. They are good and i feel sorry for the #2 seed that gets them through mis-seeding this year

MTSU is probably an 11 or 12 seed.

They don't hate CUSA. They just hate bad basketball. Middle needs to win.

MTSU will be:

2-1 against teams in the RPI top 50
4-1 against teams in the RPI top 100
RPI in the late 30's to early 40's
29 wins on the year
Very nearly pulled off a win on the road at VCU (RPI 22)
They really don't have a bad loss

I think they're in regardless. Their resume up til now is pretty strong.

Yeah they have a good resume. I imagine they'll get stuck with a play in game if they lose tomorrow though.

At any rate I don't think it will be an issue. If MTSU was going to choke I think they'd have done it by now.

I was referring to CUSA, not MT

After MTSU beats Marshall, this thread will be moot. The only question is will we even have an NIT team in that senario?

However, if Marshall were to do The improbable, then we will have two in and the AAC loses one.

I think with our win yesterday, Marshall might have a chance just depending on how the teams finish, but it is a very long shot.

I'm still hoping the Herd can pull through and get the the dance. Not many give them a chance but we have played right with MT for half a game this year. We don't have to have a game like yesterday, but we do have to play our game for two full halves.

ESPN just gave MT some love. Lunardi thinks they are in even if Marshall wins.

There were some pretty crappy teams in CUSA this season for sure, WKU included. The deck is stacked against any of the so called "mid-majors" to begin with is the problem. CUSA is not the only one. If Middle loses to Marshall they will be squarely on the bubble. They left out a 29 win St Mary's last season remember.

We won't be a 15 this year.

Additionally, if Middle wins, I think we're out of the picture all together. No NIT for the Herd.
