UCF also has a first year coach.....
Tubby has lost it. Just admit it and hope the Tigers move on from him as quickly as possible.
"Maybe the worst part of all is that UCF also features a first-year coach in Johnny Dawkins, with a cast of returning players from a previous regime. But unlike Memphis, the Knights have shown improvement down the stretch after reeling off a sixth-straight win Friday."

I'm sure they would have done equally well with Chad in place of Taco.

This...
They had a guy whom you had to help on the inside and shooters who could shoot on the outside. That is workable...
When you can ignore all of our shooters I really don't care how good your post players or slashers are they are going to struggle.

Johnny Dawkins actually went out and signed grad transfers who could play.

I was wholeheartedly against Tubby when he was hired, however it was an imperative that we ditched Pastner as soon as possible. Mission accomplished. Now, we need to give Tubby one more year to turn things around. If he fails and has another season like this one, then he needs to go too.

He was 15-15, 8-10 in conference and finished 9th in the Pac before being fired last year. You would've never hired him.

This is fair, but I don't know if you can get some of the smart message board folks to agree.

How many grad transfers were available at his hiring that went on to play 15 mpg at top 50 programs. I'd be interested in that.

Last year you would've called an AD who even considered hiring Dawkins here at Memphis an idiot because of his record. This year you imply we should've hired someone like him because, after he was hired, he brought in grad transfers. You're all over the road with your opinions. It's like claiming whichever team just won the Super Bowl was your favorite team.

I never said I would hire Dawkins amigo.
You moved the goal post on the discussion not me.
Back to the topic YOU started:
I'm simply explaining how one coach got to work from day one and didn't punt on a season.
You act like Chad Rykhoek was the absolute best that could have been done which is not true since the 15-15 coach did better.
Sadly for this staff that may be true.

Face it MTigerBlue, you are wrong. You can never be right. Even if by some miracle you were right, you would be deemed wrong. No need to post anymore tonight cause you're now known as AMIGO, and once you are called AMIGO, it's over for you. You will just have to accept that you are a dumb dumb. Never mind that you've watched basketball for over forty years. You're dumb. You're opinion is for the crapper too. Go watch a movie, you aren't welcome here anymore.

That's my point. By your own admission, you wouldn't have hired a coach like Dawkins, but now that he has taken over a team whose top five scorers (including a 7'6" center) were all returning sophomores, juniors and seniors and they're doing well, you want to jump on his bandwagon -- and you want to everyone to believe that their sixth leading scorer is the sole reason for their success because he's a grad transfer and that's part of your mantra.
No, I don't have any idea why we got Chad. Maybe Chad made overtures first, and Tubby thought he might help out our dearth of bigs. Who knows? But the fact that the former 15-15 coach did better than Memphis this year has absolutely nothing to do with which graduate transfers we could've gotten to come here. Neither of us knows the answer to that question, but in your mind and in your posts, your speculation becomes proven fact. It's not. It's speculation.
