I don't know that it's an argument. They are clearly better than Memphis this year and should fully expect to be even further ahead next year.

Thanks Tubby!

I'm not a Tubby lover, was never my first choice, but while you're in the thank you Tubby mood, there's someone else you need be thanking also, for the predicament our basketball program's in. It's a real shame that some our players (top recruits) that could have really helped this year all came down with a bad case of tendonitis.

Thank you, I realize everyone is pissed at the state the program is in and yes Tubby had some momentum that is now gone but he did inherit a program at the bottom as far as Tiger hoops goes. He had a Daddy and son thing forced on him and a roster that completely sucked. By the time he got here there were no studs sitting out there waiting to come to what was left of Memphis basketball. We can thank only one person for this, the ACC COY, what a complete joke!!! 03-banghead

If the roster "sucked" as you say, why in the hell, with seven available scholarships, did he not do more to fill out the roster?

And poor Tubby, he was "forced" to take a first team all conference kid and the AAC ROY.

I guess it was the same in that Bowen for "forced" to accept Tubby was going to elevated Saul back to assistant and have Coach BAM! as the lead recruiter.

And no one made Tubby take the job. So he wasn't forced to do sh!t.
