ASN / WTVZ
I thought that today's games were supposed to be covered on ASN which is CH. 33 WTVZ here in Hampton Roads. I have DirecTV and thus far have not been able to see any of today's games on WTVZ. The 9 PM listing does not show the ODU game in tonight's programming.

Pretty much every other league in the Mid-Atlantic has been on easy to get TV stations, but not C-USA. It's pathetic. We all need to make an effort to contact C-USA headquarters over the lack of TV coverage for basketball we have been subjected to this season, and especially during the conference tournament. We should not have to log onto a computer in order to watch games on TV.

RE: ASN / WTVZ
ASN lists the following channels for Hampton Roads for each CUSA game today;

WTVZ-2 (ASN), Cox Sports TV (Norfolk, VA), W30DN (Tuff TV)

Good luck.

If that is what they are showing for the ODU / Marshall Men's Tournament game today then they are incorrect.

Well I am going to just hope it shows up on 1002. If not, I guess I am watching on less than standard definition 111.

Was able to pick up WTVZ-2 after hooking up an antenna to our 55 " HDTV and watched most of the Rice/UTEP game. Picture and sound had frequent break ups (digitizing) and it was not broadcast in HDTV. This should be embarrassing for the conference. I tried several other stations via the antenna hook-up and they all worked well so it wasn't the set up.

Besides all of that, if it is going to be shown on CH. 33 WTVZ then why is it on CH. 33-2 WTVZ instead of their main channel? I don't blame the station. I blame the conference.

DirecTV gives the main channel (WTVZ CH. 33) but not the substations (33-1, 33-2, etc.). Same for other stations (3, 10, 13, etc.).

33-1 is HD, 33-2 is SD. Most of the games we had had on ASN we broadcast on both simultaneously, but the tournament is on 33-2 only. Not sure whose decision that is. But like you I watched the second half of the UTEP Rice game and was thoroughly disgusted. I can live with SD but the occasional picture loss and the frequent sound loss was annoying. They better fix that before our game or I'm gonna lose it.

How are they not airing this in HD? It makes no sense in this day and age. What a joke.

FYI for those with DirecTV who pay the $5 for the sports package, the tournament is on several different channels in HD. For example 681-1, 698, & ODU will be on 696 also.

It's just depressing how pathetic it's become regarding TV Coverage.
Embarrassing and depressing.

The UAB / LA Tech game is not having the same audio/video issues the station was having for the earlier game.
