Reading the editorial today the knife is taking shots at UT again.

Likely a petty response to not getting advance look at the Master Plan before publishing.

I can't wait for the Blade, the former Toledo Blade, to go out of business. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy reading the newspaper...but the Toledo Blade is more detrimental to this city and University than it is good. I don't get the need to continually publicly bash a city or University, but the Toledo Blade publishes negative stories like that all the damn time. I'm sick of it and I'm sick of the Blade.

*edit* I just noticed that the auto-fill had the word "best" instead of "beat" which is what I intended...point being that many of the negatively-slanted stories are as directed from somewhere else, and not the idea of the reporter...

And it's not the best writers or reporters.

Blade isn't going out of business, even though they lose about $8 million per year. It's a vanity ownership. They make their money other places like their cash cow Buckeye Cable.

Always had good luck with TW. When I moved to Perrysburg (yes, I'm really not H2Oville anymore) TW had all kinds of trouble getting me cable. Took almost two months. My neighbor kept saying "just get Buckeye" it'll take an hour or two to set up. Nope. Never.

Cancelled my subscription, and got rid of buckeye cable years ago... I decided not to give the Blockheads any more $$$... Toledo is just a red headed stepchild to them...
