Scroll down to Oceana County. I love seeing any picture from the old fieldhouse.

Didn't know there were so many counties in Michigan that started with 'M'.

Is this true?? 'Griffin turned down offers from Michigan, Michigan State and Bobby Knight-led Indiana to play for Eldon Miller at WMU...'

My HS played Newaygo in 1971-72 and I remember our tall guys talking about how good he was.

Anyone know where PG is these days?

It helped that Eldon hired Griff's HS coach, Ed Douma, as a graduate assistant.

Newaygo?

Griff played for Shelby HS.

Said he chose WMU over the others because he liked Eldon "by far the best" and knew he would play right away.

He lives in San Antonio but has a house on Silver Lake too.
