Does JaCorey winning newcomer essentially seal the deal for McCree to win POTY?

Really Happy to see Upshaw make the All-Defensive Team. His quickness and overall athleticism makes me think if he doesn't find a landing spot for professional BB (Not thinkin' NBA) in Europe or NBA Development League; He ought to look to the NFL. Would make a serious Tight End along the lines of Antonio Gates

The all defensive team without Dominic Artis is a complete joke. Possibley the biggest snub I have ever seen in CUSA.

I agree, should have been on the team with Boykins, Lee and Upshaw, the other two I'm not for sure

As a Tech fan I echo this comment - he should of been first team all conference also...

Upshaw, D. Taylor, and Lee were all strong and viable selections for the defensive team. I like R. Taylor overall as a player, but not sure anyone on Marshall's team warranted a 'defensive' team selection since as a team they played so very little of it.

Didn't see enough of the Tech guy this season to comment on his inclusion. Same goes for Artis. Not saying that those two shouldn't have been on the team. I just haven't seen enough of them this season to make a judgement on it.

Here is what the other guards in the conference did when playing against Dominic Artis.
Evans 11 pts on 3-11 shooting
Elmore 11 pts on 2-12 shooting
Boykins 3 pts on 1-5 shooting
Potts 9 pts on 3-11 shooting
Caver 6 pts on 2-7 shooting

So the best guards in the league were 13-58 shooting, 22% against Artis, and all were held under their season average. He is also second in the league in steels with 57. NO WAY he shouldn't be first team.

Taylor at only 6'5" is 4th in blocked shots.

Per coach Jones, Caver was "under the weather" in both games (also UTSA) of the road trip last week. It was very unusual to have our true freshman point guard (Fields) play as many minutes as he did against UTEP. Don't know what it was but hope Caver is better by Thursday. Maybe he ate some Mexican food out there that disagreed with his system.

Sounds like Artis is a good defender. The only time I got to see him play this season was in the ODU game. I'll keep an eye out for him in the conference tournament games.

They sure are. Harris had 17 points last night against CUAB. IMO, Harris could be CUSA's "Player of the Year" in a couple of years. He's a star in the making.
