Congratulations Seahawks fans!
Just wanted to offer hearty congratulations to UNCW and all of the Seahawks faithful on the 2nd straight NCAA bid and CAA Championship! You guys have been one of the best mid-major squads in the country all year and now the rest of the country will get to enjoy this squad.

It is nice to see that UNCW has taken it's place back atop the CAA after the debacle of the Mehrtens years. Coach Keatts has put together quite a squad that reminds me of some of our pressing teams. It's a winning formula running that kind of system at this level and I'm glad it's paying off for you guys. Looking forward to watching UNCW carry the CAA standard forward into March. Will be rooting on you guys to make noise so long as it doesn't mess with VCU's chances of doing the same!

Enjoy this month, God knows you all have earned it! Congrats once again!

Thanks for checking in and the support. VCU blazed the path for our success as a mid major. Our AD is using VCU as a template, and is intent on getting another VCU/UNCW/Louisville style coach should Keatts leave. Our recruits came for this style of play, our roster is now loaded for this style of play, and continuity can at least give us a shot at continued success. It should also allow us to mitigate potential transfers and loss of recruits if/when Keatts moves on.

We, of course, are looking forward to Keatts becoming the Dean of UNCW basketball, with a future coliseum standing on campus in his name. Time will tell, but he has set us on the right course if we can maintain.

That's a smart template to use for sure. Having a system synonymous with your program can overcome the attrition that is ultimately inevitable at the mid-major level when you win at the level Coach Keatts is getting UNCW accustomed to winning at. Recruiting and hiring coaches that will be faithful to that style will be big in keeping UNCW basketball's brand growing and relevant going forward.

We've gone through this process as well. The March cycle of having fans of every P5 school with an opening clamoring for your coach can be overbearing at times, but it's ultimately just a sign that you're doing something very right. Here's to you guys keeping it going, whether it's under Keatts or someone else. You guys have a NCAA tournament to put your stamp on before having to think about any of that though.

That MTSU-UNCW game was one of the best mid-major games of the entire season. Similarly hoping to see the Blue Raiders punch a ticket soon. Have you and MTSU as my likely upset picks depending on how the bracket pans out.

RE: Congratulations Seahawks fans!
Congrats, UNCW fans. Now go make us proud in the NCAAs! Root like hell, and take a P5 school (or two) down a couple notches! I hope Lou Rowe can turn JMU around and make this a really good rivalry in CAA Basketball. I don't know if we will see you all in the Women's CAA Tournament, but look forward to facing you all on the diamonds.
