Who nominated you to be the voice of reason? I also couldn't help but notice the nice strawman you built.

I was corrected for my mistake (not keeping myself updated, been really busy the last 72 hours). I still stick to my second sentence.

Your second sentence was based on the first... The first laid the foundation for the second.... So to keep the second while recognizing the first was horse crap does not reflect well on your objectivity here.

They have released it.

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2017/03/...-bill.html

Quote:House Republicans on Monday evening released the text of their long-awaited ObamaCare replacement bill, proposing to eliminate the various taxes and penalties tied to the original legislation while still preserving certain patient protections.

Aiming to deliver on their signature campaign promise after several election cycles trying to reclaim control of Washington, majority Republicans unveiled what they call the American Health Care Act. The sweeping legislation would repeal ObamaCare’s taxes along with the so-called individual and employer mandates – which imposed fines for not buying and offering insurance, respectively.

It also would repeal the Affordable Care Act’s subsidies, replacing them with tax credits for consumers.

The bill is available here

Not a leftist and I do quite enjoy being corrected when wrong, better than sitting in a dark room of an echo chamber.

You are in an echo chamber. It's just echoing the same tired old liberaltarian talking points.

These voices in my head, constantly telling me I need less government and more freedom in my life, to be responsible for my own health and well-being, to not rely on others to take care of me indirectly with their money, oh these voices echoing in my head and their constant talking points, however will I get them to shut up and let me rely on a government for my every whim or need.

I take my values seriously in practice, I don't take from the system even months after being let go from a job but rather find cash side jobs and sell my own stuff to make ends meet until the right opportunity is found through my own ability and work, I volunteer my time to make someone else's life easier or better without pay or any other form of gain. I take my safety into my own hands, and turn that safety off if need be.

I grew up with one side of my family being socialism loving atheist democrats and the other side being God fearing conservatives, my life itself has been anything but an echo chamber. I've witnessed first hand what the idiocy of Bush and Obama have done to family businesses and this country in terms of taxes and regulations, what our government has done to create corporations that have squeezed out smaller competition (to the benefit of my family) by making laws, taxes, and regulations that make operating any kind of business all too expensive and more difficult without having to cut employees and/or wages. Trump may actually be very good for reversing that trend a bit, and I would be happy if he is, though not to the point that I would worship him like the progs and libs did for their king, Obama.

Though we all live in an echo chamber of some sort, so I won't argue that I myself am not in an echo chamber of my own thoughts.

I guess in this context you are right, I won't argue.

You wanna defend the zerOcare? Please do, I'm here all night and maybe til Wednesday.

I would never want to defend Obamacare, I would never support government mandated private healthcare, nor government funded public healthcare.

Till Wednesday? You're not disappearing on us are you?

Old comedian joke. I'm not one, and you probably arent old enough, but that's okay. N/M.

But, OTOH, does anyone deny the absolute wreckage that zerOcare has rained (reigned) down on small businesses? Thats what I was tickling at.

Most likely am not, sorry sir.

Anyone who does is an idiot, payroll tax and ACA have destroyed small to even mid sized businesses and is directly affecting the wages of employees at those businesses still alive.

I appreciate that DD... It could be my bias but I see a lot more right leaning folks here willing to talk trumps shortcomings than we saw left leaning people acknowledge Obama's failings.

That's just because of the numbers of each. What do we have 5 from the left? You can count on one hand the lefties here.

Could be... So who here, in your view is saying Trump is never wrong. Who has yet to have a critical word for him or his policies.

And FTR the number of true "righties" here is not that big. Maybe 5-10 regualr "pure" conservatives, 5 or so pure liberals and a good chunk of libertarians.

And at the end of the day I can only control me, and you can only control you. I've criticized Trump more in two months than you criticized Obama in two terms.
