Jorge Bilbao got screwed if you ask me. Yes the Southern guard tandem is good, but in a way that shows the flaw, they got exploited when there was no inside presence and the guards couldn't carry them. When our guards couldn't carry us, Bilbao was there to help carry the load. When our guards were effective, he was so much better inside. He was 9th in rebounding and second in offensive rebounds within the SBC. If it is stats driven, then yea, but he controlled the inside to allow Hervey and company to flourish. I can win with 13 Blibao's on the roster.
Big problem with Bilbao is he is a big complainer, rubs a lot of folks the wrong way. I don't know if he's every committed a foul in his mind.
I have seen him raise his hands and I have seen him get rightfully upset at calls that aren't going both ways. For whatever reason, he gets more scrutiny and less benefit of the doubt.
And there are a few times where he seemed wrong for the reaction.
Bull in a china shop sometimes.

Bryce Washington on the second team is a joke. Top 5 nationally in double doubles, offensive rebounds and total rebounds, top 20 nationally in defensive rebounds and FG percentage, and he is not first team all conference in the SBC?
He is a virtual clone of Caleb Swanigan, who is a finalist for the Wooden award.

Anyone not named Hervey. Neither Varnado nor Gilder-Tilbury is as good a player as Washington.

I'd debate that Varnado isn't as good as Washington.
Washington averages 35 minutes playing time per game, compared to Varnado playing only 28 minutes because Troy has a deeper bench.
If Varnado played 35 minutes per game, I'd bet he'd have similar stats. Plus Varnado can shoot the three-pointer... he's 39% from 3-range. Washington isn't a three-point shooter.

A shame Coppola doesn't get at least 3rd team after the career he has had. Of course being on a rebuilding team your senior year must suck.

He's been very good over his career, but this is typically a yearly stats award.
