RE: Free Clergeot!!
I'm not willing to say markel's head isn't right - on Saturday he was the only one with any real emotion in the huddles (that mattered before we got down 20+). He's being tentative on O as is Jeremiah. Watching our offense in person is even worse - we do not move and rarely do we run plays anymore. It is night and day from what we saw earlier in the year.

when I say get his head right I'm talking about Tubby getting his confidence up. I like Markel, I'm talking about pumping him up and making him believe in himself.

Too much failure under the bridge...I reckon.

IMO, Crawford hasn't smiled in a month due to pressure he puts on himself. Martin is the exact opposite. His transformation from tentative, defer to the other guys to that of a smiling, cocky pretty good BB player has been astounding in such a short period of time. He never appears to worry about missed shots, bad passes, etc; he has really turned into a ultra confident player.

I disagree about the offense. When we run with a team close in talent to us we look pretty decent on O except half court O. We were so much better than those teams we played early in the 200 and up RPI teams. Tubby has somewhat addressed that problem by taking Martin off the ball and letting KJ, Dedric or MC act as "PG". He had no choice because Martin still can't start our half court O and surely can't run it. The best use of his offensive skills right now is as a 2 where he has more room to drive the ball. Many of those assists in his big game came at 2 guard off penetration.

Another area where I'm proud of Martin is at the free throw line. His confidence has resulted in much improvement there.
