Even though the Rockets have an excellent recruiting class coming in, the same old coaching staff will stay around. That being said, how can fans be optimistic for the 2017-18 season?

Tre'shun Fletcher, Wille Jackson, Logan Hill, Marreon Jackson, Dwayne Rose will make a huge difference in the team. Some people are already saying Fletcher is the best player.

For me, the key will be if we pick up a low post player who can contribute immediately (just has to be solid--not spectacular)...grad transfer or JUCO so that we're not relying on a true freshman. A lot of other pieces already covered for next season, and I would guarantee we have more depth.

Here we go again. Just take a look at last year's "Dumpster Fire" thread that was recently bumped to the top. You will see a number of optimistic fans telling us how good the newcomers are going to be and predicting great success for next year's (now this year's) team.

Fletcher better be good since we're losing our two best players from a mediocre team.

While we can pray that our incoming freshmen will be immediate stars and that our two transfers will more than replace Williams and Taylor, some other MAC teams' fans can base their optimism on proven players returning from teams that are already good.

Most of whom this year's team beat. OU, Kent, Buffalo,

Garber would have been the difference. I think he may have been playing injured from the very beginning of the season and then we lost him completely after the stress fracture.

That is why I bumped it up.

Fletcher is certainly the highest rated recruit ever to play for the Rockets Willie Jackson maybe the second highest recruit ever to play for the Rockets that is why I am optimistic more than anything else. Also we have a former NBA MVP's Nephew coming in. Plus 1 of the top point guards in Ohio high school this year. Not saying we won't miss Taylor and Jon Jon and Lauf but I don't think as much as some thing. I also think we will see a graduate senior coming in to help as well.
