I thought the 6 seed actually looked more appealing, but there are pros and cons to that, too. It is what it is. Careful what you wish for, I know, but I'd love to see the Tigers get another shot at SMU.

We didn't try that in either game. We tried to shoot pull up jumpers too close to him and they were blocked or shot trajectory was altered and we missed badly.

It is really tough to teach toughness and being physical. It is every player's nature (on the current roster) to avoid contact. It seems like for years now our roster has been loaded with guards and post players who avoid contact.

But you are correct in that it should be relatively easy to get him in foul trouble. He is new(ish) to basketball and will attempt to block every shot. Pretty much get around, pump fake, and jump into his body...

Yeah, no. That ship has sailed for this season. We were exposed on Saturday, well, we were fully exposed I should say, everyone either suspected or knew but were hoping against hope that it wasn't true.

With our starting guards, I agree that they avoid contact, with the possible exception of Jeremiah. He's fearless, but doesn't go to the hole often enough, IMO. He's a good finisher through contact.

Reserves, I think the jury is out but Clergeot doesn't seem to mind getting hit.

Markel shows flashes. Kessee, not much to see there. Randall, I just don't know.
I've got a feeling Charlie Moore would have made a huge difference with this team.

I would hope the players are dying for another shot. I'd bet they handle UCF fairly convincingly to get that shot.

Tom Izzo is noted for having his players put on shoulder pads and helmets in practice for rebound drills. Not sure what happened to them this year, haven't kept up. But his NCAA history is outstanding.

I agree with you about Taco Fall. Go right at his chest and make the ref make a call (charge or block).

Realistically I'm thinking beat UCF probably barely, then lose a closer game to SMU.

At least something good came out of the weekend, it would been disastrous if they lost the bye.

Tulsa lost the bye when they lost to Tulane. If they had won the 5th seed was theirs.

Not sure being the 6th seed with USF and then Houston isn't better than UCF and then SMU......

Assuming we get past UCF, i was thinking the SMU game would be more like the game at the FF.

Go Tigers!!

4-point loss at home. 41-point loss on the road. Reality is probably somewhere in between. 22-point loss?

I will be moderately surprised if we make it past UCF.

Vegas has Tigers at 35-1 to win tournament. UCF is at 20-1, so I would assume we will be underdogs in first game.

I would be very surprised. Compared Tubby's non KY conference tourney record to Pastner's. Wasn't good.
