But lets be realistic...This is based on everyone thinking that G. Tech was going to suck...

Okogie came in and was a much better player than his ranking and Lammers played well...

Gtech has the same record of the coach who was fired in conference and a worse record overall

Adding to your post...I saw Okogie being interviewed and they asked him did josh convince you to stay and honor your commitment, he said no, he simply wanted to play at GT. Secondly, Ben Lammers is a prime time big man. The combo of Lammers and Okogie is a nice deal to walk into. The previous coach that got fired was the one responsible for both Lammers and Okogie. Lastly, he got that award for three victories. Yes they were great wins. But his record sucked like you mentioned. His record was like the records he was getting here after cusa.

Josh should get a ton of credit for Lammers
I disagree 100%. No way josh had anything to do with the player Ben Lammers is. If that was the case he should have done that with Tarik and Austin or any other player not named DJ. You can have that opinion if you want to, I respectfully disagree.

With who and who ?

I was laughed at and ridiculed.
He could have saved our program.
But the idiotic haters with herd mentality won out.

Don't know what you got till its gone.

Hate to say it but I told you so.

This is why I'm a tech fan now.

Best revenge is living well.

CJP left and I don't think anyone on here was sad he went. It was time, it's really that simple. I guess the only time I would actually say 'what if' is if CJP wins a NC and I highly doubt that will happen at GTECH.

Look, if the AAC COY is 17-14 and the B12 COY is 19-12, then I don't want either.

I look at it simply...If he gets the blame he gets the credit.

Regardless if it is true.

Ok. You're free to give him credit if you want and believe that. I don't. There's just no way josh made Ben Lammers, Ben Lammers. The dude is a highly skilled big man with outstanding hands and touch and an awesome shot blocker. His low post moves are incredible. His foot work on the block is tremendous. Josh didn't do that. Just like Dana Kirk didn't make Keith Lee, Keith Lee. Now, he got them motivated and ready to play, especially when ranked teams came to town. He deserves credit for getting his players to buy in. He didn't make Ben Lammers. But again, you are free to have your opinion.

RE: ACC Coach of the Year
Congrats to him. Has nothing to do with us. We gave him PLENTY PLENTY of time, support, resources - and you see how far it got us. It just wasn't a good fit and never was going to be a good fit. He had TONS of fan support at the start. Everyone wanted him to be successful. Good for him and his family. It's not like "if we had kept him one more year" something amazing was going to happen. It was getting markedly WORSE. Not better. And picking-up steam. If anything we waited TOO LONG to make the call. Then we were so sure we were in the B12 we went with the poster-child safe hire in Tubby. Jury still out and I'm hopeful but worried.

Since I am completely ignorant on what happened at the practices...I take a high level view.

Pathetic.
