I know a lot of people dislike holy grail since they left Clifton but I love that table and the fact that many of my U.K. Friends will have to stare at it as they drink before and after reds games.

do the brits dislike us for some reason? i enjoyed it immensely when it was in clifton, and i enjoy it now. it's a pretty kick ass place to pregame i imagine

RE: 5/3 Demo/Reno
My only knock on the Grail is that their beer menu is stuck in 1998. I know it's a bud crowd but come on. It's 2017 for chrissakes...they treat corona like a microbrew. I need more than one local tap arm and more than one total IPA on the menu to choose from if it's going to be a destination for me.

How a bar in this town with that much business with a younger crowd still doesn't have a single Rheingeist product is bizarre. My guess is the Bud distributor has a special deal with them.

Here is an overview of what fans can expect:

-The biggest change we will see when the Bearcats return to their new home is the seating arrangements. All four corners will be taken out and the arena will have a 360 degree dome shape with seating circling the court.

-There will be a standing room capacity of 12,000 fans.

-New HD scoreboards with sound systems and LED lighting are being added to upgrade the viewing experience.

-New restrooms and concessions will be renovated.

-A new and improved Bearcats Lounge will be added.

-Four new super suites will be added, along with twelve clubs and four new courtside bars that fans will be able to enjoy during home games.

-The players will also be excited to see brand new locker rooms when the construction is over.

-The new entrance of Fifth Third will be an open area with centralized ticket and guest services, and the famous Oscar statue will be moved from its current location in front of Lindner Athletics Center to the main entrance of the arena.

From this rendering from UCs website , that would seem to be the case . If you can see he's kind of in the center of the pic , beyond the small grassy knoll .

Great update. It's exciting to already see people standing on the floor of the new second level concourse.

Are these updates only done monthly? Eager to see the next one as the bowl and concourses should be more defined. Exciting to consider how high the program can go with the new 5th/3rd.

Yeah, they're only done monthly. Typically near the end of the month, so we should be getting one soon.

They said as they get closer to the finish the frequency of the updates increases. Not sure if that will still happen though.

Surprised to see the bleachers in this video. I thought the renovation was to be all chairback seats?
