That means all of their students except for a very few hand full either just don't care about sports or the are a Florida/Florida State/Miami fan. Sortta like the MAC schools, every Sat. MAC students either drive to Columbus, Ann Arbor, East Lancing or West Lafayette.

Student attendance sucks in this conference because most CUSA students are fans of other schools or just don't care about sports period. I would imagine this is the case at most G5 schools. Rooting for a mid-major just isn't the "in" thing to do.

I was basically born into being a USM fan (double-legacy, grew up 10 minutes from campus and going to games, etc) but there aren't many people like that at G5/CUSA schools. I went to basketball games this year where maybe 12 people (including me) were in the student section. My estimate is that about 300-350 students here are diehard USM fans. The other 14,000 students either don't care that much about college athletics or root for Bama, LSU, State, or Ole Miss.

Good Lord, I feel like a wkcc fan doing this, but I went back and watched post game video of the MT/Marshall game.

Reported 4500. It's a freaking 12,000 seat arena, so 4500 would be roughly 38% of capacity. I'm not going to go count the heads, but it looks about right to me if not under reported. There's at least 2K+ on each sideline not counting the smaller numbers in the endzones. Add in paid no shows and it should have been higher.
