I think everyone here is well aware of that.
The point was no one really had a VCR or Betamax going back much further than the late 70's.
The WMC broadcasts are out there and available for transfer to digital formats. Most of he WHBQ stuff is gone forever.
Not really they were available in Japan but it was the mid to late 70s by the time they made it to the US market and they were very high priced when they did get here. Betamax came to US in Feb 76 and VHS did not arrive till June of 77. They were around $1,200.
You said "not really", then agreed the VCR and Betamax home libraries began in the late 70's. That was the same point I was making.
I knew 2-3 different people with countless late 70's studio episodes not long ago. I'm sure there are several others out there too.
We are pretty much screwed on anything older than that.

Those who would spend $1,200 for a Betamax or VHS are not the demographics which would usually watch Wrestling on Saturday morning. Also being in the US market does not mean being in the Memphis market. Very likely NY and California would be the site of the early releases of such technology.
Compared to known cost of that time period. UM cost was $415 a semester in late 70s early 80s. Average home cost in Memphis in 70s $27,000 Latter part of decade around $35,000. Not likely many people in Memphis would shell out $1,200 to record TV shows.

I've already told you I've known multiple people who had a ton of late 70's era Memphis wrestling. The 2 people I knew lived in Mississippi.
Copies are out there, hopefully they end up in the right hands one day.

Pointless argumentative nonsense like this is why no one likes you.
