Very little. UTA's RPI dropped to 39 after the Louisiana loss. Given that the selection committee has made the "Mid-major" at-large's an endangered species, I wouldn't hang a hat on a Saint Mary's win, an "upset" of 10-21 Texas, a 16-4 SBC record and a 2-3 record versus the top 100 in RPI.

I don't think that the Cajuns can win it, but coming in on a six game winning streak is a positive.

The Eagles showed the ability to blow Ga. State out of the water and had spurts against UTA where they looked like they could have taken control with one or two more good possessions.

Then again, they've lost to three of the bottom four seeds and needed a 17-point comeback to avoid a loss to ULM. I know that most teams have on and off days, but the highs and lows of GS seem to be more extreme and often occur in 5-10 minute stretches instead of from game to game.

I think in our 7 conference losses we had a double-digit lead at one time in at least 5 of them.

Sounds about right. I know that the losses at App and CCU were the two where we never looked good at all. Not sure we ever led UTA by double digits, but - like I said - there was definitely a point late in the first half and/or early in second where another couple of stops by the defense and scores by the offense could have broken the game open and not allowed the Mavs to be patient and break us down inside.

I believe we were up 11 vs. UTA at one point, and we stubbed our toe on some turnovers and they closed the gap quickly right at the end of the first half.

With this version of the Eagles a double digit lead is always in quick jeopardy of vanishing. Lately it has been turnovers, but some coaching decisions affecting tempo were the reason in the first half of the season.

The coach and team don't have the killer instinct (and execution) that great teams possess. Still, we have a fighting chance if we shoot well.

ya that win over the teasips looked good at the time and I am glad we got it but who knew they were going to flounder so much this year. just goes to show you that having all the money in the world isnt always a guarantee

South Alabama's Women beat Georgia State 49-44 in a game I'm sure exhilarating...

An equally exhilarating nightcap as AState leads Georgia Southern 23-20 at half. If the Eagles lose to our Women, they should just shut down the program for eternity.

Pretty sure I'm to blame for our WBB loss tonight.

They were only down by 3 with 3:30 on the clock when I turned it own, then we immediately committed about 5 or 6 turnovers to end up losing by 7.

71-51 Coastal with about 8 minutes left.

Looks like the end of the road for USA. Coastal will advance to play UTA.

Jags are the first team to go home. Coastal wins 80-67. Coastal advances to the quarterfinals and get the luxury of facing UTA.

Well we already beat UTA once.

Doesn't necessarily mean we will again, but it shows that we are capable of beating them.

Go Chants! 04-rock

I don't see how anyone can argue to keep him around for another year. We lose a lot off of this team.

Here's our D1 record under Graves

2016-17 12-18
2015-16 12-19
2014-15 10-21
2013-14 8-20

42-78.
