Let's not act like Memphis is really this bad.

Memphis played SMU in December and was up 43-40 with 10 minutes to go in the game and only ended up losing by 4.

Obviously the teams have gone in different directions since then, but...

Since the loss to Temple last month, we have really played some horrible basketball.

Coach said after the Temple loss some of the players reverted back to old patterns. Tubby's a defense type of coach. This team has played exceptional defense before when they execute the game plan and not resort to AAU type of basketball. Tubbs will turn it around; his track record is indicative of him doing so. Patience is a virtue.

Actually Memphis had been pretty bad in perimeter defense all year long.

Agree wholeheartedly. Is it my imagination but I thought there were a few games where it looked as some improvement was made regarding the perimeter defense deficit? It could be wishful thinking on my part.
