We don't yet know if this was a horrible hire, and yeah, he does deserve time. Not long ago this season was exceeding people's expectations. Ugly as that loss was, you still have to let things play out a little longer. Two years minimum, three is reasonable to start re-evaluating, if it comes to that.

Hoots is right: look at the recruiting class coming in. There is no reason to believe things will get much better. At best, Tubbs might marginally improve on this season. But don't expect a significant turnaround. Which is what is needed to bring back the fans.

A little winning won't bring them back. A LOT might.

We need a coach that is a promoter.

A city weaned on Elvis, Issac, Lawler, Kirk, Calapari, Mongo, and the like is not going to be excited by Tubby.

He may be a great coach. I have seen nothing to make me think he can be a promoter. Maybe someone else can pick up that torch for him?

Memphis supports a winner. Period. We don't support losing programs...

If Tubby wins, people will come...

We may need to send in police with riot gear to deescalate the violence there.

Chuck Lawson, the boy's uncle, is influential in the family.

Can someone please decode this cipher for me? Thanks in advance.

I'm guessing that is a picture of a young David Rudd or Tom Bowen or maybe one of the big boosters.

I always figured the decision maker was either Martin or Laurie.
