This doesn't bode well for next week. The team won't be able to shake this horrible effort. Not good. Flush the toilet.

Really disappointing showing by our Monarchs. I really expected to see them win this one convincingly and go into the tourney on a strong winning streak. I think this team is as good as we saw in the previous five games. Time to regroup.

Team must have had some exlax after the UTEP win. Let's hope we got it out of our system.

For this there is NO excuse. Another loss to a 300+ RPI team. Anyone want to buy my C-USA tickets?

I know these are young men. The mental aspect of this game is huge. I just don't understand how a whole team can come out as flat as we did today and never find any means of quality basketball. They just looked disinterested and didn't want to be there. And the coaching staff couldn't do anything to change the tide. Just unacceptable. I spent my hard earned money to watch that sh$t. I just don't get it. Can anyone explain this to me?

Look I get it. 2,000 miles away from home, just played one helluva gut wrenching game. This was a real trap game. But ShLT!!! Jones has got to do better than this as a coach. He didn't do anything to shake this team up, absolutely nothing. This is why I can't stand the guy. Get on a small roll then ShLt the bed. The very definition of mediocrity Absolutely disgraceful performance today

Everyone's mad now but if we kill it in the tournament no one will even bring up this game again

Eh, everyone saw this coming. This game doesn't change my perspective going into the tournament, and I doubt it will affect the team much either.

Nothing like building momentum going into the cusa tourney.

We aren't beating mtsu, period. The best odu teams jones has had lost to them and they are better this year and we are worse.

This game changes nothing other than providing a wake up call to a fanbase that bought into a 5 game winning streak against terrible basketball teams.

We're a 150 rpi team. Sure this game was meaningless but a good team wins this game instead of getting destroyed.

Blaines best teams always finished the year better than they were at the start. This is a low note to a low season, I truly do not expect to see much in Birmingham.

You need big time players to have success in conference tourney's, other than caver, I have no idea who we can rely on to step up when the lights are the brightest.

Guess we will see but don't get your hopes up.

I can explain it. The players knew this game meant nothing and played like it. No emotion. They have played at a higher level the last several games but they were just not up for this one. The lack of emotion is contagious and effects everyone. We needed somebody to step it up and nobody did. After the blowouts and a huge win at UTEP I'm willing to write this off as a blip. I think they will be ready for the tournament. I just worry about us being able to play 3 focused games in a row. If they had won this game convincingly I would have been less worried about that. We need to get Caver healthy because he was making way too many bad decisions. That was not the Caver I'm used to seeing.

Just to summarize, we ended the season by needing a lucky last second victory against a 245 rpi team and getting blown out by a 300+ rpi team.

Our RPI is 150ish.

Sure, this game doesn't matter..........but rpi matters and we frankly just are not very good.

We are young. I'd be lying if I said I thought we were going to run through the conference. Next year is the year...make you or...ya know.

Right on point ! Some fans just don't understand how bad we are and how horrible this conference really is. We got a bye and with a little scoring we can get by most of the bad teams. Other than MTSU and LaTech this conference is horrible. I think we all remember what LaTech did to us at home.

Well...it is true that the bottom tier of the conference is bad, but the top teams have had success in the NCAA Tournament since we've been a member of Conference USA. We were very good two years ago and things didn't go our way.

This loss was probably the best thing that could have happened going into the conference tournament.

Odu missed at least 12 or 13 layups. Plenty of good looks. Guys played like they were emotionally and mentally drained. It was still a good last few weeks of the season. Utsa just wanted it more today. Gonna be a tough matchup with UAB. I hate this conference. Schedule didn't do us any favors here at the end. As good as Caver has been he had a chance for a big game today. He missed a ton of bunnies.
