As someone who had to routinely enter people's homes unexpectedly allow me to tell you that this very well could have happened here. Whenever we get together the guys from my first engine company assignment still talk about the "Red Rocket"....an 18" bright red double headed ***** we discovered doing a primary search on an apartment fire one night. Or we talk about the man who died in a house fire because he couldn't open a door due to the piles of dog crap and the other exit being blocked by fire. Or the three guys we sent to the hospital with concussions and other injuries when a ceiling collapsed on them during a minor room and contents fire. They had got the ceiling wet when they put the fire out and during overhaul it gave way because the damp sheetrock couldn't support the weight of over 20 years worth of Time magazines stored in the attic.
